Im updating an earlier review, but unable to locate it. My previous was 1 star because the Amazon box was not properly sealed and the tablet was missing. I used online chat and the issue was resolved, I received a replacement tablet yesterday. Very good Amazon customer service using the online chat. Tablet is great and a replacement for my older Tab 8 which had started to have hardware problems. Very satisfied with the older tablet and like the new Tab 8.

You cant use a factory reset device without the prior owner pin or email. Verified by Samsung. Now I could send them the receipt and the device and they will for real reset it. But Im not going through that hassle to save a few bucks. Amazon, you really need to let people know before they purchase. Samsung, I get the protection aspect but youve ruined resale values of your items.

Been running it in a semi with a truck gps app and it does great. Had to return a lesser quality unit and buy this one. Still dont understand why you cant even use an item you bought without signing up for a Google account.

Lil issues with shipping but it arrived eventually in great condition, everything runs smoothly and the screen resolution is nice

I saw a couple of online reviews indicating the strength of this tablet was in its video quality bang for the buck in its price range. Since I primarily use it to watch online videos, that is exactly what I was looking for. The Galaxy Tab A8 does not disappoint! If you are gaming or running lots of apps, the processor speed may not be fast enough, but if you watch lots of YouTube and dont want to spend a lot of money, you should be very happy with this tablet. I gave it 5 stars for battery life even though I keep it plugged in all the time, only because I didnt want to give it a bad rating for something I havent tested. The touch screen works fine. The only gig I would give it is for not having a fingerprint pad, but for the price, I can live with typing in a PIN. Nice little tablet.

I’m a full time college student and I join a lot of zoom meetings. I have a tablet for my daughter to stay quiet and out of the way during these times. I must say though this is 100% better than an IPad for a child. My phone isn’t synced to it so I don’t have my daughter ignoring all my calls and sending random emojis to people in my contacts. I also can control all the apps that are on the homescreen. I created a kids email and can change the setting on the tablet from my phone. Don’t waste your money on apple products for kids. (We’ve went through three iPads in less than two years and all three had screen protectors and cases)

I love my new Samsug Tab A8 10.5, the display is perfect. It feels well made, solid. I upgraded from an older 7.5 Samsung Tablet and everything is bigger and crisper. I got this new tablet on sale on Prime Day. Set up was a breeze as well as porting apps and content from the older tablet. The only thing I did not like is I cannot see my Google Drive in the My Files App.. My older tablet would display the cloud storage that I subscribed to. For now, i have to use the Google Drive app separately until I figure out a better solution.

I have Samsung everything. I believe that it sets the standard for Android devices. Its fast, I can also transfer some apps to my SD card for more internal storage capacity and RAM functionality. Once again, I love Samsung products and found it handy when I connected my USB, C, multiport which gave me access to my wireless mouse along with mega storage access....mini laptop.

I was seeking something to use for strictly gaming, like COD Mobile and other simulator games, to give my android phone a break. And I went with this tablet. Its actually impressive on handling one game installed at a time. Anymore than that and you will have terrible lag. The quality of picture is to me really nice. The sound doesnt seem like it goes loud enough. Also, it was alot bulkier than I was expecting. But all in all, Im satisfied with my purchase. I do wish that I wouldve just went with its higher gb version. Then the tablet wouldve been able to handle, without lag, more than one game at a time.

We gave this as a Christmas present for our daughter. The tablet worked great until this week. It started turning itself off with the battery at 86% and now it will not turn on or charge. I would not recommend this tablet at all. It didnt even last 6 months.
