    I bought this drive in hopes of saving an 2013 iMac with a failing Fusion drive. I wanted to use the T7 as the system disk. After several failed attempts to install Mac OS on the T7 and hours of troubleshooting, I determined the issue was the USB cable that came with the T7. After replacing the cable, the installation went smoothly and my iMac is running even better than new!

    Speeds are super fast, offers both usb 3.0 to USB C for PC users who dont have USB type C ports and offers USB C to USB C for mac users as well. super portable and speeds are incredibly fast, would recommend to anyone who needs fast transfer speeds or a hard drive to work off form.

    The Samsung T7 is very fast. One of the fastest SSD I own. I usually use my SSDs as external storage and read the files directly from the disk since the read speeds are so good. My issue with the Samsung drive is that the enclosure gets physically hot. Hot enough that it is uncomfortable to hold for any length of time. This drive might be OK for holding files for backups, but I dont feel comfortable using it for anything that requires regular read/writes of data.

    As someone who started out with 360K floppy disks, I must admit that one downside of this drive is that it makes me feel old. But on the upside, it pretty much seems to deliver as promised. With a 64bit version of Windows, the read/write speeds with large files are off the wall. ZOOOOM

    It is true you get what you pay for. After returning two previous cheaper drives, this was a relief. It is fast and error free. Dont risk your data just to save a few bucks.
