> 3 dayThis is the best portable SSD I’ve ever had. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.

> 3 dayThe software does not allow cut and paste for passwords. My password generator used characters like O,0,1,l,and I. It can be hard to determine which character is actually being used. I usually cut and paste passwords, but I mis-interpreted some of the generated password when keying them in and didn’t catch it in time. I ended up wiping the drive to re-set the password.

> 3 dayThese SSDs are absolutely wonderful. I will not use any other SSD than Samsung. I have used Samsung SSDs for years. They have NEVER let me down. I know that they are more expensive than other SSDs, but I have not been let down by them and I have lost data with other SSDs - good name-brand SSDs - trying to save a dollar or two. Not anymore. My peace of mind is worth the extra money. I cannot replace the data I have on the disc. And, for me, to keep all the data I need to keep online would be prohibitively expensive. Go with Samsung SSD if you need SSD - you will not be sorry. Also, if you can get one that works with the windows Thunderbolt - WOW - speeds are amazing.

> 3 dayIt is a great external ssd and the price can not be beaten. But I do not know who is able to reach the advertised number. I have Intel 13th generation i9- 13900k CPU and z690 motherboard. It is the latest PC you can get. I tested the write speed on different USB ports. You can not reach the limit of 3.2 gen 2 speed which is ( 10gbps/about 1000mb/s). It reaches consistently around 640-680mb/s. So even I plug it into USB 3.2 gen2x2 (20gbps), it still caps at that speed. So do not bother with if you have the 3.2 gen 2x2 (20gbps) port or not. If you plug into USB 3.2 gen1 ( used to be called USB 3.0, 5gbps), it will drop to 300ish mb/s. So you do need a 10gbps USB port to fully reach its potential. But again it wont reach the advertised 1050mb/s. 650mb/s is a lot less not close. It is still amazing that it is faster than 2.5 inch SSD and you can editing video directly on it with plenty fast speed.

> 3 dayPurchased the 4TB drive, connected via USB C to A directly into my motherboard yielded the attached results. Advertised reads up to 1,050 MB. 1044 is close enough to be written off as margin of error. Less than 1% variance. Exceptionally well packaged comes with 2 high quality USB cables. (C to A and C to C)Theyre a bit short but thats a nit-pick Im delighted they come with high quality USB cables at all. Subjectively, the design is nice. The housing feels substantial enough to protect it for every day use. But I wont be putting its durability to any real tests.

> 3 dayI am a video editior and Currently I am using 3 of them for 4K video projects. Easy to carry, very fast, reliable. I still have Samsung t5 and Sandisk Ekstreme Pro happy with both but t7 is another step and worth ekstra money.

> 3 dayI like this drive for several reasons. 1) It is relatovely small for a 2Tb drive, 2) It looks like it can take a little abuse although I dont plan to try it, 3) It is extremely fast like a SSD should be, 4) It works well with my Motorola G-power Android phone, and 6) you dont have to install software to use it like you do Western Digital/SanDisk products!
