Tummy Time!Many parents really struggle with their babies hating tummy time. It"s important not to get stressed about this and simply just try a few minutes a day. Visual stimulation is one of the best ways to encourage and extend tummy time and our boards really do help! They will encourage baby to lift and turn their head and thus help strengthen their neck. |
Why do Babies Love Black and White?Colours that provide the most contrast are the most appealing to babies and black and white provide the most contrast! This has to do with the development of your newborn"s eyes. The rods and the cones (the part of the retina that perceives colour) have not yet matured enough for them to perceive the values and intensities of colour. Black and white are the easiest for them to perceive and their interest in these high contrasting colours continues until they are six to nine months old. |
