It works as advertised. i noticed another review that mentioned a problem with encryption. i use MacOS catalina; i formatted the device using disk utility, i had no problem selecting encryption as an option for the (apple) file system (APFS).

Use with Casper net change backup. Backups are extremely fast compared to the USB drives I had been using.

Do not worry about the 3 stars at the start i have used it to store videos on for use in my sisters place . Works well and holds so much data nice and portable
