We used these to remove about 6 sq ft of thinset from our basement floor. The thinset was almost a 1/4 inch thick in some areas. These discs got through it with not issues at all. We did go through 3 of the discs, but that was expected with as much material we were removing.

I used it to grind down about 150 sf of my concrete porch that had uneven and damaged concrete, prior to resurfacing it. This disk made the job so easy. Make sure to wear a mask and eye protection because you’ll make a lot of dust and things will be flying all over. Beat part is, after all this grinding I still have about 90% life left on the disk!!

Do not buy, bought these bc I had purchased from another seller on Amazon that had great ones. These ones are horrible. Lasted about 10 minutes, if that. Do not buy. Amazon is awesome though they gave my money back!

I had been using flat discs but was working hard to create a flat surface on the bottom of concrete products my wife makes. With a 4 or 4 1/2 flat wheel there is just over an inch of wheel surface to use flat, then its up on edge trying to eyeball the surface. With these and a consistent circular motion of the grinding a large flat surface can be obtained.

ground down a couple of “kickers” at sidewalk joints with a cheap grinder...easy to use, works quickly and seems to have plenty of life left...I strongly suggest wearing ear and ear protection
