First one arrived with a strap that had separated from the helmet. The replacement arrived just fine, but my son prefers the feel of the helmet that this was intended to replace. Thats probably just a matter of being more comfortable with what hes accustomed to, and has broken in. This helmet is light weight, easily adjustable, and appears to be a good fit for kids.

the angle of the straps is a little off but otherwise great.

Fits. Does what a helmet should. I fell off bike once, it protected my head.

Its a birthday present for an 8 year old boy...so, I personally can not rate all your features as needed.

The chin straps seem way too long but I always prefer a helmet that has the crank in the back for getting a snug fit around the head. Its taken a few tries to get the straps just right but there is a lot of excess strap. My daughter likes the color and the sun shade in the front.
