> 24 hourI love this bag so much! It never falls over no matter how much stuff I put in it. The material is easy to clean off with a cloth, and the straps are fairly comfortable on your shoulder. It will hold: MacBook 13in laptop (with protective case), large planner, curriculum books, a small folder, and a large 3 inch binder as needed. On the exterior pockets you can store pens/highlighters/makeup/phone/air pods/ hand sanitizer/etc. The bag can get a little heavy when you load it, but I find it is more evenly distributed. The bag itself is lightweight when empty so it doesn’t add to the heaviness. It’s a great product, buy it you’ll never regret it!

> 24 hourThis is my third Scout bag in 10 years. They are sturdy, resilient bags that I highly recommend. I am a substitute teacher and it is perfect to carry all that is needed each day. I passed my old one to my other teacher friend!

> 24 hourI purchased this bag after seeing fellow teachers carrying them around and practically collect teacher totes. I decided to add this one to my collection. Thoughts? Pros: Material is very sturdy. It stands by itself when upright when empty (makes it easier to fill). Material is easy to clean. Two types of handles to help you carry the bag as well as shove it into the back of your car. Numerous pockets and large inside zippered flap for carrying lots of odds and ends. Cons: Material feels cheap. Actually, its very similar to those plastic reuseable bags you can get for .99 at the checkout counter of the grocery store. Its actually pretty much that exact material except designed more elegantly. Those bags also can hold a lot and are sturdy. Considering the price, whoever owns this company is making a killing. While the straps are versatile, theyre very rough and thin and dig into your shoulders. I carry home my EC teacher planner, an accordion file with papers to grade, and my water bottle - my shoulders are red, and you can see where the straps have dug in. Its not the weight. I have a 31 Cindy Tote and an Overstreet laptop Tote, and they both have a bit of cushion on the straps to ease the burden. For 50.00, youd think they could spare a bit of padding at the tops of the shoulder straps. Finally, the pockets are a bit small. 31 bags have a little gusset at the bottom so that the pocket is essentially the same size from top to botton. These are sloped. While it does make the pockets less obtrusive and more aesthetically pleasing, sometimes small items get a bit lost or you cant easily spot them looking down at the bag. Its also difficult to get my insulated water bottle in there because, though it fits the top well, as the pocket narrows, it becomes a harder fit. Were these perhaps specifically made with Tervis bottles in mind? Overall, glad to have it in my collection and will use from time to time. Is it my go-to bag? No. Right now I have elements of all that, if combined, would make the PERFECT teacher bag, but until a company makes it, these will do.

> 24 hourI am a middle school teacher. I am also a post-grad student and a mom of a toddler. I saw that a colleague of mine had her own SCOUT bag, and it looked perfect for my needs, too. I will admit that I initially did not want to fork out $50 for one of these, so I purchased a cheaper knock-off tote bag that had the same concept of lots of pockets on the outside. I guess you really do get what you pay for sometimes, which is why I am here now writing a 5-star review for this bag. Anyway, this bag is my lifeline. I have absolutely ZERO cons, but here are the PROS and details of why this bag is my holy grail: 1. STRUCTURED - I dont have to fight with it because it doesnt flop all over the place 2. DURABLE - this thing takes a beating and really can withstand quite a bit of weight 3. LARGE - on an average day, serves the purpose of my purse, lunch box, and school bag, and sometimes even diaper bag...all in one! 4. ORGANIZED - all the pockets make it easy to have a place for everything--I am not having to dig around for things all the time! 5. CONVENIENT - the two handles actually are incredibly useful. Obviously the long handle for carrying on your shoulder, but the small handle is more necessary than I had ever imagined it would be. I keep this on my front seat when I drive, and when I get out of the car (usually pushing it to arrive on time to work, lets be honest lol), the short handle allows me to grab the bag quickly and easily pull it over the center console/armrest to take it out with me as I exit the driver-side door. Try doing this with a long handle-- youll realize quickly that its a bit more of a hassle. A+ for saving yourself time and frustration in the morning. 6. SECURE - I havent really needed to use it yet, but I like having the top zipper so that I at least have the option to close it all up, should I need to one day

> 24 hourI debated and debated about getting this tote for a Teacher Bag. Wasnt sure about the high price for the plastic fabric - and really didnt care for THAT many huge outside pockets and didnt want a zipper. All that complaining aside, all I wanted was a CUTE BAG that looks DIFFERENT than all the brown/black/olive totes on the market (ZZZZzzzz). LOVED all the color and design choices so I decided to go for it after scouring the internet for anything comparable. Im glad I did! I got the pink polka dot and its very cute. I was worried about all of the pockets that seem to stick out (I doubt Ill use them) - but luckily theyre kind of flatter than they look in the picture so they dont stick out as much and actually compliment the design. Also, if youre not wanting a zipper, the zippered sections actually lay down flat in the bag so you dont HAVE to use them. The fabric IS strange but like previous posters have said, its durable. Makes a crinkling sound which I dont care for but I guess its the price you have to pay for a cute bag. And I guess if I spill soda all over it (Who DOES that???) then itll wash right off! Warning - - they come packed flat, but the handles are kind of wrinkled and theres a tad bit of a funky smell but Im sure itll be fine within a week or so. Im probably going to get a ton of compliments on this bag from co-workers - its that unique looking and I love that about it. Taking one star off because I wish it were a canvas bag AND with 20 designs to choose from, there was no lime or yellow. TONS of pink choices though, so if you dig pink - youre in luck!
