Compact and ready to go. Worked fine in a pretty big storm we had earlier this year.

I am a self defense instructor and try out all sorts of items that are suggested for personal safety. This one is for real. Its much like carrying a baseball bat inconspicuously in your hand. I believe someone should learn the basics of situational awareness rather than relying on any equipment, but this umbrella could definitely create an opportunity for escape if things get out of hand. Plus, its a sturdy umbrella! (Bonus) I purchased the shorter one and have a very small umbrella as a result, but it fits my idea of emergency use in close quarters better than the larger one. Definitely worth the money if you want inconspicuous weapons in your vicinity.

Very happy with this shorter Security Umbrella and the very informative digital videos. It’s sturdy but not too heavy, it’s easy to carry inconspicuously over the shoulder and as a bonus it’s a very good umbrella! Senior Asian American female here and as an active walker in NYC 2021, sought out an umbrella as a means to feel better protected, this does the trick. Really appreciate the digital videos emailed when requested. Ive learned much about self defense from the videos and appreciate their emphasis on preparation, technique and stressing the goal is to avoid a confrontation and how to get away safely --- dont try to be a Bruce Lee!

I m entirely satisfied with this security umbrella! What a concept -- an unassuming umbrella that packs a real wallop! I recently carried it on a plane with me without anyone giving it a second look. Just as advertised. Your not gonna knock out a big guy attacking you but it certainly offers a degree of protection you would not normally have.
