It is solid wood. The white paint is great! I wipe mine out with a bleach wipe each day when I empty it. It is still keeping the color inside the vessel. I love this trash can more than any I’ve ever had.

This is a great fashionable and modern trash can that looks really chic in just about any room. Plenty big and really made well and has some weight to it. Really nice!

I ordered this wooden distress trash bin because of its look and pretty good reviews. I’m disappointed mine had a crack. Still usable since I will put plastic trash on it and it will just sit in the corner of my bathroom. It’s not even worth returning it, might as well just use it.
