> 3 dayMy oh my, do these live up to the expectations I had. I bought these mainly as a pair of DJing headphones. I needed something with just a tad more bass, and a good amount of sound isolation. Lightweight, comfortable, and low profile. This definitely is the perfect pair, Im glad I chose them. The sound quality is wonderful, Ive come to expect nothing but the best from Seinheiser. The bass does seem just a bit more present than standard flat studio headphones, but I like that as I already have some very flat headphones and monitors and Id like something to be able to tone my basses properly when producing. They seem ridiculously light for how powerful and functional they are. Though the grasp is firm, I wouldnt worry its not uncomfortable at all, just snug. Ill update my review when I actually get to take em out for a gig soon!

> 3 dayWow, I was searching for a long time and watching for top ten best headsets and this headset came up every time. I was going to get the Technics headset, but saw a lot not happy with new design. So I bought these. Flat out amazing! At first I thought something was wrong? The music came in different. Then after awhile. I started to trip out on the clarity I was getting with only one ear covered. Amazing! I was hearing lyrics of songs I have had for years and was understanding every single word. Some songs I have had for years had high pitched hits I never clearly heard before! Get these! The price is right, tons of web sights recommended these. You won’t be upset.

Greater than one weekGreat headphones but the wires are too thin and short out this is the second pair and time it’s done it in less than a year. As much as these are and for their intended user this design is an epic fail. Don’t waste your money. :( so sad.

> 3 dayThese, sound wise, are on par with the Momentum 2s or the HD599s or the AKG K451s. If youre familiar with those and like the sound signature, youll get more of the same with the HD25s. I found the clamping a bit much out of the box but gently stretching the headband reduces the clamping. I like the adjustable split headband. I like that nearly every part is replaceable. Im not wild about the stock ear pads and plan to replace those soon with something plusher. That said, I wouldnt hesitate to buy this model again and certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys great portable sound. Ive played it through my headphone amp, my receiver, my television, and my telephone. It performs well on all. This model really excels with flacs, compact discs, or hi rez streaming. The sound is energetic yet balanced and easily heard in loud environments like public transport or airplanes. The soundstage is virtually non-existent but I barely noticed because the sound is so wonderfully tuned. The HD 25 handles all genres well. Ive been able to wear these headphones for a few hours at a time. YMMV.

> 3 dayI love the headphones, which is no surprise because I loved the previous version (HD 25-1 II). My only note to buyers is to make sure you are careful whom you buy it from. I bought this listing beliving that it would be the HD25 Plus (as thats what it says in the product title) which comes with a pouch, extra pads, a curled cable and a little bit higher of a price to match. What I got in the box instead was the base HD-25 (no difference in the headphones themselves, just the accessories and slightly cheaper of course) which is annoying. Not enough to be really mad, but its made it clear that headphones are probably one of the things I will have to buy in person so I know exactly what Im getting before they get my money.

> 3 dayI had a pair of $300 Pioneer DJ headphones I loved, but needed replaced. Decided to save 50% and give Sennheiser a try. Would I buy again? Hmm, honestly I wish I had spent the extra $150 and bought another pair of Pioneers, but I think for most people these will be adequate, I just dont think they are perfectly suited to bass-heavy EDM.

> 3 dayLight weight, comfortable, and versatile make these perfect for run and gun video/film style. Very good audio quality. But impossible to change from the coiled cord to the straight the cord. I was unable to find the appropriate size took to use so I gave up. They should include it in the package given the pricing.

Greater than one weekI bought these for DJing, to replace a heavily used, 15+-year-old pair of Sony MDR-7506 that finally broke down. I went with these due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews: best DJ headphones ever; been using them for 20 years; dont even bother with anything else; blah, blah, blah. Well...I dont get the hype. These are smallish and light headphones with decent sound. And thats it. As compared to the 7506, I feel that theyre a significant downgrade: A) They feel really plasticy and flimsy. Both are made of plastic of course, but these just leave a much cheaper and less solid overall impression. B) Theyre much, much less comfortable in every way. The headband is smaller and less adjustable, the ear cups are tiny and less padded. And I dont understand the point of the rotating left cup at all. When I am DJing using only one ear cup it moves a bit, and then when I drop the headphones back around my neck they stick out at a weird angle. So Im forced to reach up and push them back into normal position. How does this help? C) Sound quality is not quite as good. Its probably a bit more neutral, which might be good if youre doing music production, but for DJ work I really want bass and richness. MDR-7506 delivers quite well here and these things sound slightly tinny in comparison. D) The cord on the 7506 is much nicer feeling. Soft rubberized spiral there, vs straight and not-quite-flexible-enough plastic on these. E) The 7506 cost 33% less. F) The 7506 include a carrying case. (Very minor, but still.) So all in all, I cant recommend these. Obviously they have their fans; loads of them. As always, YMMV. Im not going to send my pair back at this point. Theyre good enough, and given the build quality I suspect Im not going to get even close to 15 years out of these before some bit breaks -- probably that ridiculous rotating ear cup -- and I buy something else instead. Who knows, maybe at some point Ill stumble upon that hidden element that makes these the best of all time. I can only hope.
