This worked perfectly for newer models after 2017 with MCU2. Worked fine and as intended with our 2020 model 3. Easy plug and play! I also tried this on my 2016 model X with upgraded infotainment system, but it didn’t work! A must have to protect your car. Highly recommended! A+

I use this flash drive as ordinary storage use, its fast and seems TLC chips.

The USB drive comes pre formatted for your Tesla. Just plugged it in and it worked. Storage is more than enough for its purpose.

The Hygea SentryCam for Tesla USB Flash Drive (64GB), provides USB for Tesla Sentry Mode and Tesla Dash Cam for Tesla Model 3/Y/S/X. This USB was easy to use. It is a simple as opening the package and plugging it in. I like that this USB has SentryCam written on it so it will not be confused with another of my many USB drives. If you have a Tesla then this is a great tool to have and keep plugged in just in case you need it.

I found this when looking at stuff for my Tesla. Even though it states that its designed for the Tesla sentry mode, its just a thumb drive. A nice one with ample storage, but still a thumb drive. Its fast and small enough to stay out of the way in your glove compartment.

After I noticed this item and watched the product video I immediately ordered it for use in my new 2023 Model Y. I definitely see a lot of value in recording the dashcam and sentry mode videos. When the SentryCam preformatted flash drive arrived I raced out to install it in my Model Y only to discover that Tesla includes a preformatted, Tesla branded, 128 GB flash drive installed in the USB port in the glovebox. Doh! It never even occurred to me to check to see if a drive was included with the car. Both the SentryCam and Tesla supplied drive performed exactly the same, but with the Tesla supplied drive being 2x as large and free. So, this product performed exactly as described, but was not needed or even useful in my 2023 Model Y. In Teslas that dont include a preformatted drive I can see where this would be useful.

The SentryCam for Tesla 64GB USB flash drive is a fairly fast USB flash drive. It comes formatted as exFAT, which means you can copy very large files to it. Besides a system volume it comes with a default TeslaCam directory. I performed a very crude speed test on my Windows 10 machine. I plugged it into a USB 3.0 port and copied (wrote) a 353MB video file to the drive in just 12 seconds. I copied the file from the drive (read) back to my machine in 10 seconds. I needed a large capacity flash drive to copy and transport large files. This works great.
