10-06-2025My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter did not find this toy engaging beyond the first 5 minutes. Her mother had asked me to purchase it, promising that my granddaughter was going to love it. Not the case. My own preference is to purchase toys that encourage imagination and promote creativity and learning. This toy, fine for what it is, doesnt encourage anything beyond pushing the buttons and watching Elmo sing and dance. From my point of view, not money well spent.

12-06-2025I was seeking the right toy for my adorable three-year-old nephew who has Down Syndrome and who loves to laugh and learn. The toy had to meet certain criteria: to be educational without being confusing, to be safe, and most of all, to be FUN. This is an incredible toy for many reasons. There are no parts that break off and cause a hazard. Thats MAJOR. Yet its still a barrel of laughs. Elmo resonates with kids because he is known and familiar. This Elmo sings and dances with a bright heart that flashes to the beat. There are three musical modes -- colors, animals and songs -- and each can be activated at the touch of a button. A toddler can just enjoy it or for a slightly older child, there are prompts that cause them to think creatively (for eample, Lets think of other things that are red. Another thing I like is that its convenient -- nothing to assemble. The buttons are intuitively placed and all it needs is four AA batteries. All in all, its the perfect holiday gift for toddlers -- reasonably priced, durable, engaging, motivating, and downright fun!

> 3 dayIt’s really cute. Wish it sang more songs for the price. But my 2 year old that is obsessed with Sesame Street loves it. The only downside is that Elmo will only dance if he is on a hard surface and the button on the bottom is pushed in.

> 3 dayMy kids got this as a gift from someone (bought off of Amazon) and it must be defective. The arms will move once during a song and that’s it. No dancing. I’d give it one star, but my kids still seem to like it - only if for the singing.
