I was gifted a beautiful rabbit fur shawl that belonged to my boyfriends great-grandmother. I wouldnt normally wear fur, but I didnt want to offend my future mother-in-law (who said her other daughter-in-law turned it down and if I didnt want it then theyd be giving it to Goodwill), so I accepted it to keep it in the family so to speak. Theyd been storing it on an old, torn silk-padded wire lingerie hanger, with a cheap plastic dry cleaning bag over it, wrapped up in a ratty old cotton coat. Hardly the way to store a 100 year old fur and there are some signs of damage from improper storage. I cant afford to pay for professional fur storage, so I decided to at least get a nice wooden coat hanger and garment bag to keep it in. This bag works great at protecting it from dust and any general wear it might otherwise get from being hung in my closet. It takes up considerably less space than the old storage method, as well. The bag seems to be pretty solid construction--no tears or anything I could find and the zipper works well.

There is enough room for carrying my choir robe. I blessed several choir members with one as well.

To store my daughters prom dress til June

We used this bag for an Alaskan cruise and it worked really well! Lightweight yet durable. Even had our shoes in the bag though there is not a pocket for them.
