SetWire 50 Amp RV Receptacle - 125/250V NEMA 14-50R Power Outlet Box, Enclosed Lockable Weatherproof Receptacle Panel for RV, Electric Car, Generator and More, ETL Listed

The SetWire 50 Amp RV Receptacle Power Outlet Box is very heavy duty and quite heavy physically - I dont have a scale to hand, but this has to be every bit of 4-5lbs. Functionally it is good - its an in use type box that can be made lockable via a suitably sized padlock (not included). If I were to have one quibble it would be about the ball-bearing latch, which can be quite difficult being as its a) on the bottom of the box and b) needs to be pushed into its locating hole quite far before the cover can be raised. Other than that, this is a perfect box for an outdoor, in-use install.

This worked great for plugging in the RV on the side of my garage. I only needed a two foot run from the main panel to the box. The conduit end clipped in great to the knock out plate and since the screw terminals for the outlet come off the bottom of the plug I didnt have to worry about bending thick wire. Be aware that its every bit of 7 inches thick so mount it somewhere you wont bounce an elbow off it when walking by. (It HURTS!!)

You just couldnt ask for something better when youre in a situation that you need a charge, and arent able to get one. But you have this adapter on hand. Because there will be a situation where you could use this. Much better to have this one hand and not need, than need it and not have it. Works just as they said it would, so were happy.

If you only have a dryer plug this one converts it e.g. for the washer or car charger.

What a great way to plug in your EV 14-50R NEMA charger into a different wall receptacle. This cord converter is thick and feels heavy duty.

The wires needed for 50A are always a bit of a challenge to cram into any box, but this one seems to provide ample room. Its a good bit less than my local electricians would charge me for the same functionality too!

As an appliance repair shop we get customer appliances with cables that do not match to plugs we have available in the test areas these work great to adapt the appliances with out having to remove customers cords.

Very well made. Heavy duty. I have had many occasions where I could have used this when moving. Now I have it ready for me or friends and family if needed.

I am using this with the EVSE that came with my 2020 Chevy Bolt and my Dryer Outlet. Plug feels of high quality and the car charges faster connected to the dryer outlet compared to a standard 110V outlet.
