This is a good adapter for any EV but i used this with my Tesla. It converts NEMA 14-30P to 14-50R so if your house comes with 14-30p this is the adapter for you to charge your electric car.

I wanted to get this so I have options if the 14-50R isnt available in a location. This is great because one end is facing one direction and the other is the opposite. Easy to connect your 14-50P portable EV charger because of this design.

Got this little adapter for emergency scenarios that may require charging our Tesla Model Y from the dryer outlet (which is backed-up with a Tesla Powerwall) during sustained power outages. I wont be able to pull the same amperage I get from my daily L2 charger (on a 40a circuit), but this will save me in a pinch! The whip itself feels heavy-duty and has a nice integrated grip/handle.

Nice adaptor, nice for welders, RV, etc. I thought other items from this vendor I have seen had UL or similar listing but no sign of this on this. The voltages all match as expected though between the different pins. The pictures show lead placement then in the next picture after the voltage reading from that placement. Outer two sides read ~240V, outside to middle neutral or ground read ~120V.

How received?

Neutral is connected to Ground on the 14-50 side (and obviously the Ground on the 10-30 side).

Looks pretty water tight. The connection points have gaskets, so you can use different wiring options and still have it all be watertight. The connector itself seems pretty sturdy. I will be using it for an electric vehicle charger installation, will update if there are any major issues with it. Keep in mind the boxes actually a little bigger than you might expect. The option to lock it makes me feel more secure about no ones stealing my charger.
