Greater than one weekThis is the best stropping compound Ive found. Sticks to the leather, sharpens & polishes well, and last a long time. Very pleased with this product.

Greater than one weekPerforms exactly as advertised. A few passes left the knives I stropped with a razor-sharp edge. Cant tell about its longevity yet since I just got it, but it seems to me it should last for a long time.

10-06-2025The product is the product. The marketing is pretty misleading. This is a Canadian company, has a very nice American flag on the product - saying Designed and Engineering in the USA. Then some tiny tiny letters elsewhere saying Made in china. ugh...

Greater than one weekTLDR: good compound for price, high quality, and a good size. However not polishing grade if that’s what you’re looking for I bought this bar thinking it was something it wasn’t. I needed a super high grit compound to polish the edges of my knives (kitchen and other fixed blades usually) and thought this would be that. It wasn’t. There are however some good things. Pros: - It’s big. There’s probably more than you need but it’s good to have - it’s not died out! It’s the perfect consistency to load onto a standard rawhide leather strop, hasn’t dried out and holds well to the leather without cracking and chipping off (wax compound) - the price is incredible for what you get. Don’t get me wrong, this is a stropping compound, and will easily hone a knives edge (I usually hone with this compound after 8000 grit whetstone or 6000 grit oilstone and this compound helps to remove the burr) Cons - not a polishing compound. If you’re looking for something that will put a mirror edge on your knives, this isn’t that. After stropping there are visible buffing marks (knives are still really sharp) I’ll edit this comment if I find a good polishing compound. The one I ran out of was white.

Greater than one weekIm not an expert on sharpening but I put some of this on a piece of leather and Im able to get my chisels razor sharp. Not sure if this is the intended purpose but its working great for me. I tried to polish some metal with it and was not impressed with the results. But for sharpening wow. And this thing lasts.
