Battery was fully charged but when I attempted to use it would flash red and die.....I would then charge and it would work again periodically.....returned

This portable air compressor was a great purchase. It came in a little zipper bag with all the accessories which is nice because after I use it, I put everything back in the zipper bag. Basically, when you use it again you have everything in the bag as if you were using it for the first time. No lost or missed placed items. Now I will review the actual air compressor. 1. It is very simple to use. 2. Great battery life. 3. It effectively does its job. 4. Very convenient. Ive used this compressor basically to fill the tires on my cars or truck when the tire pressure is low. I just set it to the desired psi level, start it up, and walk away. When it reaches that level it stops. It is a very well-designed machine. I would recommend it to anyone.

It’s okay and can do the job but it’s very limited - still, better than nothing.

I got the ShockFlo portable air compressor tire inflator because I have had some problems with my car’s tires lately, and I wished I had stored something like this in the car at the time. Well, now I do! STRENGTHS: The unit is compact enough to fit in a glove compartment, but powerful enough to inflate my car’s tires to 38 psi (of course, it goes higher but I’ve only used it on my car so far). It is fairly intuitive and easy to operate, but does come with instructions that explain all the touchscreen buttons and other features. The LED screen is clear and informative, and shows you the tire’s current air pressure before and during inflation. Once I set the desired pressure to 38 psi, the unit retains that setting for the next time I need it. I like how the air hose actually screws onto the tire valve (rather than clamping on). It feels very secure, with less leakage going on and off. The inflator’s pressure reading was quite close to that of my tire gauge, so I believe it is very accurate. Finally, I like how the inflator does NOT include a lithium (or any other type) battery. Batteries don’t especially like being in hot or cold cars. In my experience they can fail or wear out just by repeatedly being exposed to extreme temperatures. So, I appreciate that this unit relies on my car for power, and not a battery. WEAKNESSES: I would like the air hose and the power cord to be longer, so that I could inflate tires on both sides of the car without having to drape the cord out one side, and then out the other. I do this through the car’s windows because I am afraid if I drape it through an open door, I might accidently shut the door on the cord. If the cord were longer, I could walk around the car to all four tires with less hassle. But that is a minor issue for me, really. And by using both side windows, it does reach all four tires. Also, another minor complaint is that the inflator doesn’t have a dual power source option, and thus cannot plug into a regular electrical outlet at my house. OPERATION: To inflate a car tire, you plug the power cord into the car’s cigarette lighter and drape the cord out the car window (or door). Then you screw the air hose into your tire’s valve. Next, start your car to provide power to the unit. Then use the touch screen to select the type of vehicle or object you are inflating (for cars, it is either “regular” or “fortified” depending on psi). You then can press + or - buttons to adjust by 0.5 psi increments to get to your desired inflation (which it will remember for next time). Finally, press the start button. The inflator will stop automatically when it reaches the desired pressure, showing the current pressure before and during the inflation process. There is no need to double check with a tire gauge. The unit itself is essentially a tire gauge. I definitely would recommend this tire inflator to family and friends, to keep in their cars for emergencies. I believe the price is reasonable for what this unit is and does.

It really does work well. When you first hook it to the tire, it shows the current tire pressure. It then proceeds to add air to the tire until it reaches the pressure that you have set. It is just what I wanted.

This product was pretty easy to bring with me when traveling. It is good for charging and inflates tires really well. It is pretty accurate and easy to use. I think that the instructions are pretty easy to read and understand as well.
