> 3 dayHad an hvac short that my local company couldnt repair in 3 trips out. This allowed me to find the short without damaging the unit or going through a bunch of fuses.

> 3 dayI have used this to find low-resistance, instead of direct shorts. The issue was intermittent and was blowing fuses. Previous technicians couldn’t locate it due to that fact. With this tool I could see the short in the form of the blue LED on the tool. In-and-out in within an hour with only 10 minutes being for actual troubleshooting, the rest of the time was repair. Way better than short pro tool because the short pro tool has failed on me and I blew up a transformer, board, and thermostat as a result. This tool however, doesn’t rely on popping. Instead, the short causes a surge of current that is then absorbed by the tool in the form of a visual indicator (the LED).

> 3 dayWorked perfect, I had a Tech replace a blower control board and was blowing fuses. Two minutes later the problem was solved, he had a crossed wire. If you are an A/C Tech or Maintenance Tech I think you really need this tool. just clamp it on the fuse area with the power on and when the light goes OFF the short is fixed.
