> 3 dayWe received a total of 4 #2 parts when should have received 2 #1 parts and 2 #2 parts making the assembly of this chair more than impossible to build. Not happy as we needed this immediately.

Greater than one weekThe accompanying photos are to show what comes out of the box. When I read tool-free assembly I assumed that no tools were needed. So noticing from the pictures that much of the chair was assembled using fasteners (which require tools), I assumed that the only thing I would need to do is insert the bottoms of the chair legs. And that would qualify as the Hassle-Free Assembly that was mentioned. So a few minutes and done is what I figured. But after opening the package I saw that the chair was basically completely unassembled and that all accessories are included is most likely another phrase for the tools youll need for the tool-free assembly are included. But I dont really know for sure whats inside the wrapping because thats as far as I got. It seems that the more someone needs the chair, the less likely he/she is to physically be able to assemble it. So if you have kids or grandkids, grab one for this chore.

Greater than one weekI ordered this one day and it showed up the very next with no special shipping! That was great because my old shower chair seat made of plastic cracked, and every time I sat on it I felt like I was slipping off the side. This new chair was assembled in less than a half hour without any problems at all right out of the box. There are very adequate written and pictorial instructions, and no additional tools are needed besides the wrench included in the box. The wrench had an enhanced, plastic handle which made the final tightening of the screws easier to do since a little torque is needed. This new chair is an upgrade from the first one I bought years ago. This time I added the ability to handle more weight and the padded side handles. I also like the fact that the seat on the new chair is mostly flat, as opposed to the concave design I had before. Over time I think the old concave seat gave way because the design was fundamentally weak. The new flat seat has a lot of easily visible reinforcement underneath. Overall the chair is very comfortable to sit in and get out of with the handles. There was no wobbling and it felt very sturdy. It is amazingly lightweight and this is a plus because it is mainly for use after a standing shower to take care of other sitting grooming tasks both inside and outside the tub. The one problem I had was that the chair legs were a little wide for my old, standard bathtub. I figured it would fit from the dimensions listed in the sellers ad, as the diameter listed was very close to to the old chairs legs I was replacing. However, since the new legs are angled out somewhat, I believe that the more they were extended to raise the height of the chair, the slightly wider they became. Since the feet do not quite sit flat in the tub I have two choices because I am not giving up this chair. I can buy a set of replacement feet that are trimmed down and not as wide, since the tub itself will keep the chair stable wherever I sit it. Or I can wear out the very nice feet the chair has now with them slightly bending up the curve of the tub when the chair has weight in it, and then replace them later. Whatever...I am not too worried about it. This chair is such an improvement over the one it is replacing that I cannot even take off a star. I just hope by describing the chair leg length and tub diameter issue that others thinking of buying this chair can take what I have said into consideration before purchasing. From other chair reviews I have read it always seems that those of us with bathtubs have a harder time finding the right fit. I paid for my chair myself and was offered an in-ad 20% discount on the price. I have never been gifted or paid by amazon for anything in the decades I have been a customer, including for writing a review. I mostly write reviews for products that I can contribute some unique perspective that might help other shoppers make a better purchase decision.

Greater than one weekJust put this together for an elderly relative. My first impression was that the aluminum tubing is strong. Ive seen other medical equipment like walkers (and even canes) with weak sidewalls that bend easily. This can certainly take some serious weight. Putting it together is pretty simple with numbered stickers placed so you know where to put what part you are working on. All in all it seems like a good buy and feels sturdy.

Greater than one weekEasy to appreciate design build and assembly. From start to finish this took about 25 minutes to put together. The instructions page seemed more difficult to interpret than the follow along stickers found on the bottom of the main seat. The pieces are designed with parts that fir snug and secure in effort to make this a solid assembly. Once the main four bars are connected to the seat the rest is a breeze and requires almost no direction. Assembled the seat stays pretty rigid with little wiggle or flex. This was tested with 240 lbs for basic function and rigidness. The seat size fits our walk in shower and is accommodating for normal showering activity. Chair height is adjustable from 15 to 20 by easy push pegs. At 15 the seat has even less flex. If placed in a tub/shower the seat will not allow side to side fit leaving front to back the only option. Product packaging included a T handle driver. This tool is part of what ensures a good tight and secure fit of the screws into the chair bottom. Do not over tighten.
