We bought this backpack for my teenage son to carry back and forth to school. I love that the laptop pouch has a special lock you assign your own code to. It also has a handy spot to plug in a power bank so you can plug your device into an outside port to connect to your power bank. It is also holding up well. I will be buying a second one for my work travel.

I travel a lot, so I go through backpacks pretty regular. More because they get smelly than anything else. Mine sit on a floor in a factory, get crammed under a seat in front of me on questionably clean carpet on an airplane, food and water inside one of the pouches that doesnt always stay closed as tight as I thought, etc. These bags are pretty good as far as they go. They have a lot of storage, and I can organize my pens and Sharpies better than others Ive had. The only down side to the bag, as I said I put it under the seat in front of me on the airplane. If I have too much junk in my bag I have to really force it. Hmm...is that the bags fault or do I need to do a review on how much junk I lug around? Things that make you go, Hmm?

I bought this to replace an old backpack, primarily to carry around a Lenovo P70, which is a big, heavy 17 laptop. This bag works great for that, although the zipper just barely closes and wouldnt provide a ton or protection for the corners of the laptop. Aside from that, there is tons of room to carry 2-3 days worth of clothes/etc for a short trip without needing to carry any other luggage. Its also much lighter than my old backpack. Cons: no frame to support it, so if you dont have a sturdy laptop its going to be floppy. There isnt a lot of padding in it to protect contents. The USB pass-through is USB-A, which seems rather outdated these days - seems like it should have been USB-C. Bottom line: hard to beat for the price. Im not sure how it will hold up, but for the price I wouldnt mind if I had to replace it in 1-2 years instead of 5.

Ok, so I really like this backpack. I originally got my son one before school started last semester. I liked it so much, I got one for myself. The back cushion is nice. The pockets are all useful. I like the USB port for my phone charger. The handle on top is very sturdy and I like that its not at the very top/back of the bag. Its more in the middle so the weight distribution is even when I pick it up. It doesnt all sag to the front. The only issue I have with the back is that one of the straps has already been fraying. Ive tried sewing it back up, didnt work. My next step is to melt the fibers and hopefully stop the fray, but my hopes arent high. Edit: Its been two months and the tear has gotten worse. Im using the bag through my summer semester, but Im going to have to get a new bag for my fall semester.
