Sigma 259965 105mm f/1.4-16 Standard Fixed Prime Camera Lens, Black for Sony E Mount

This has been a much sought after focal length for me for portrait shooting and for occasional astro shots. My expectation was to have in portrait shooting, standout subject separation from a creamy bokeh background. For astro I have to wait until the autumn clouds clear! The sharpness is amazing. It is a big lens and I knew it was big beforehand. But that would be the only downside. For me, image quality comes before convenience. Essentially, I have got what I wanted. Happy? Yes! Those people at Sigma have really shaken the lens market by providing excellent lens quality at an affordable price.

Probably the best lens I’ve ever used, but very heavy. Heavier than a 70-200mm.

Tolles Bokeh ,tolle Bildschärfe.Autofokus geht besser aber ist ja auch keine Sportlinse daher entschuldbar.Gewicht ,naja nix für Schwächlinge 1,6 kg ist eine Hausnummer.Trotzdem der Bildlook ist einzigartig.

Das Objektiv ist das schärfste in meinem Setup.

Yes, it is pricey. But it is gorgeous. I think the weight complaints are a bit overdone - I did a 5K with this thing on my neck with an A7iv =)

One of the best portrait lenses I have used. If you dont mind the bulky weight and size then you should definitely consider this for portraits.

Ich habe von dem Objektiv aus den einschlägigen Foren erfahren und das machte mich neugierig. Vor kurzer Zeit war ich noch überzeugter Canon-Fotograf mit VF-Kameras und mein Lieblingsportraitobjektiv war das 85 1,2 L II. Im Rahmen eines Umsteigen auf DSLM ging ich nach 10-Jähriger Canonpräsenz zu Sony und besorgte mir eine A7 MK III.

Unvergleichliches Objektiv, nicht umsonst das Flaggschiff der Sigma Reihe!
