> 3 dayFirst of all, I hardly ever write negative reviews, so this pains me to write. I needed a replacement blade and ordered on Amazon to make it easier vs driving close to an hour away to the craft store to pick one up. Sounds like a typical Amazon customer, right? I couldnt wait to dive back into my project once my new blade arrived. Replaced the blade and I couldnt get anything to cut. Fiddled with the mat, the settings, everything, as I figured it was user error in replacing a blade vs a problem with the blade itself. I was WRONG. I pulled the protector cap down and checked the blade- it seemed chipped, wasnt straight nor anything like a new one. Ended up making the drive and getting a new blade there- replaced it with that, and suddenly my Silhouette Cameo 3 cuts beautifully again. I really dont think the blade I was sent was a new blade whatsoever, and Im extremely frustrated and disappointed with the experience. Note to self: only buy replacement blades from the store from now on. Sad.

> 3 dayI hate to write reviews like this but my frustration compounded with similar experiences leads me here. I ‘tuned up’ my Cameo by updating firmware, updating software and replacing the blade all on the same day. For the next month I struggled with wasted time, product and tears as I struggled to figure out why my vinyl wasn’t cutting. Surely it couldn’t have been the brand new blade I just installed. It must be the software or the firmware. After fiddling with setting, cutting and recutting, uninstalling and reinstalling I finally broke down and purchased a new blade from the local craft store. Lo and behold, it cut beautifully the first time. So frustrating to know that I wasted so much material on a faulty blade, thinking that the software or the machine was the problem. I’ll stick to the craft store from now on, to ensure I get a quality product.

> 3 daythis blade would not cut through any material. even at the highest settings in SS there was still an issue. I used google, youtube, and even reached out to chat with a rep at Silhouette America to see what the issue could be. Since I had just bought this blade to replace an old blade, I thought for sure it was the machine and it led to so much frustration. FINALLY, after having to complete an urgent project, I bought a new official Silhouette blade and realized it was this blade all along... then I happened to look at reviews now that I know the blade was the issue and see this is an ongoing issue with other customer. SUCH A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!! I nevveerrr leave reviews, but this is a honest warning!
