Since I needed to use 1 bag per day on my compost pail, I found this less costly one but its not as durable since Ive already broken a few when opening. I noticed that if I open slowly when it will not break as easily.

This bag is a perfect size for composting in the kitchen. It’s small enough that you can put it in a small trashcan but big enough that it can hold a chicken carcass or a lot of vegetable trimmings. Since we are required now to put our food waste in the green trash, this is the perfect answer to keep bugs and flies out of the food trash outside while it is waiting to get picked up.

These bags are very hard to separate on perferations. I dont know why this seems to be a big problem on trash bags on a roll but it is very annoying. Otherwise, the bags are fine and its great that they are eco-friendly.

Tears to easy

I got really excited to find these because I thought this would be really great for me trying to venture into composting. I feel like I would like them better if they were thicker and could actually hold but it seems like I can only put in a little bit before it’s already trying to tear and break all over. Maybe I just don’t understand how compostable bags work, but I would think that being durable would be a priority, but these were not. I will continue to use them but I’m going to have to double even triple bag them just to hold some stuff and that’s not with me not even filling them partial to half. If you need a cheap bag to do a little bit of work for a little bit of things or maybe to line a countertop compost anything show me yours but if that is not what you’re trying to do if you’re trying to do lots of yard waste or anything like that. Do not get these they will not hold and they will break and you’re just gonna be left with a big mess.

I am going to continue to use this, as it is good for the environment for my recycles. But it is thin and will rip if its overstuffed. To make it work, I just double bag it

They are pretty thin and light weight, but we have had no blow outs yet. So far very happy with this purchase.
