This is as easy as an umbrella to setup. Quality is very good and price is very affordable. I will buy other modifiers from Small Rig.

Easy set-up. Seems to be well built. As of now, Ive only used it in an indoor studio set-up. Looking forward to using it on location.

Easy setup, takes seconds. Works perfectly as you would expect. It’s a little heavy so you definitely want a sturdy stand with a sandbag on it.

Adding on to my collection of Bowens mount light modifiers, this lantern attachment is a handy piece of gear to have, offering a nice soft, diffused light source. I like how quickly and easily this sets up, literally taking seconds to go from being in the bag to ready to place on a light.

This is a big improvement over my umbrellas. The light is soft and complements my subject. I find it a better light source modifier than umbrellas which can cast shadows. Recommended.

This is a lantern/globe style softbox that will cast a nice even glow into the entire room with no harsh shadows. At 26 inches this is a pretty common size for a lantern, you can find bigger ones but you most often see them this size. Being globe shaped the light basically goes everywhere filling all the nooks and crannies of the room with an even light. They also include a large shade you can attach to the light to limit the spread, similarly to barn doors. There are lots of velcro attach points all around the globe so you should be able to get whatever blocking effect you want, including covering the globe all the way around so the light only goes straight down.

I like that it’s easy to assemble. You do have to buy your own bulb and stand to go with this.

I love everything about this product.

Honestly I put this lantern modifier right up there with Aputures lantern modifier. The build quality feels just as good as that one. It takes only seconds to expand out and break back down. It comes with a very high quality case. Also included is a skirt to go around the modifier to help you with more directional lighting. All in all I am very impressed with this modifier from SmallRig. All of their new lighting products are very impressive and this may be the best modifiers they have made yet.

I was really blown away with this light modifier. It was so easy to put up and take down and stow. Its fairly heavy, so you need a good sturdy light stand but wow! Its going to be in my studio lineup for years to come as its well-made and so effective. It offers amazing fill light, or a more directed snood style with the attached fabric wrap.
