> 24 hour**UPDATE: The VeSync app has been fixed. My VeSync smart home devices are working great again! Ive found VeSync devices to occasionally be laggy (switching within ~5 seconds after app button press), but most of the time switching is immediate. This may be because Im using HomeAssistant now more than the VeSync app. For a 3rd party server-based IoT ecosystem, this smart plug does everything I need. Previous post: I have a LOT of these smart plugs. Ive been buying them over the last couple of years to add to my collection of IoT devices. However, the mobile app was updated a couple months ago, and since then its almost completely unusable. Any time I try and do anything in the VeSync app to control these plugs, I get the error: The server is busy. Please try again later. Im a professional mobile app developer, and I know my way around mobile apps and how to troubleshoot them. Nothing Ive tried seems to help. Unfortunately, this means that a large chunk of my smart home is no longer usable. I should have bought the TP Link Kasa plugs and switches instead.

> 24 hourWorks incredibly, connects to Alexa and am able to turn whatever I have plugged in it with the app, the Alexa app or having Alexa do it for me. Love it, will probably purchase again and 100% recommend, especially for your money’s worth!

> 24 hourI updated router and now I cannot connect this device and another Etekcity product. It is a WiFi6 router but has 2.4G channels. Maybe it needs a fireware update but cannot connect it.

> 24 hourUpdate on May 2021: - One of their recent Firmware updates screwed up the scheduling. As a result, our phone batteries went flat and we missed work due to the missing phone alarms. The company acknowledged their mistakes and apologized for the inconveniences caused. Thats it! Ive been in the industry for more than 20 years and everyone knows you need to have a thorough test plans for such updates. Apology is cheap! Someone needs to get fired up there! In other words, their products are not dependable, which is ironic considering this is an electrical outlet. i used to be quite an invested supporter of this companys products - outlets, light bulbs, air filtration devices etc; recent events have me seriously considering divesting all their products and investing in some other brands instead. Original: - Nothing irks me more than seeing ads on products/devices that Ive paid full price for! After investing hundreds of dollars on this companys products - multiple outlets, light bulbs, air filtration devices, etc., they now have the audacity to put ads onto their app! Imagine getting ads notifications on your phone; imagine getting ads every time you use their app to control one of the many devices you bought from this company! Now, imagine me retiring their products and investing in others instead! Good riddance!

> 24 hourGood product but it doesn’t work with Siri voice commands. It only works with Alexa and IFTTT. C’mon! Really? I’m not a fan of this company’s customer service either. I had previously purchased 4 plugs about 2 years ago and 2 of them stopped working. I thought they would do the right thing and at least give me a break on 2 new ones even though they were out of warranty. They just said “too bad”. I bought one more anyway because the other two are still working great and the price was better than others.

> 24 hourBest apartment purchase for an AC wall unit that doesnt regulate its own temp. Can turn on when I am ready to head home and can turn off when the temperature is at just the right level.

> 24 hourI have had two of these smart plugs get stuck on, while drawing 1200 watts, which is roughly 10 amps. This is annoying having to either tap the plug or unplug entirely to turn off, which defeats the purpose of having one.
