I was about to send it back because it would not connect to my network. My last try before I decided to put it in the box & it connected. I put it up for the year & I’m hoping I don’t have issues with it again when I put my outdoor decorations up. It works well. I’m happy with it. It was just a joke to connect at 1st & I wasn’t far from our router.

Originally purchased a different brand smart plug (HBN) that was very difficult to set up. The HBN instructions were terribly written, almost unintelligible and their app was as bad. Returned the HBN product and bought the ettechcity smart plug. What a wonderful difference. The etechcity smart plug is great. Super easy to setup and configure, and works great. Its located outside and gets rained upon; however, that has not had any negative effect. Highly recommend this product.

This switch worked great for about two weeks and then lost the wi-fi connection. I even disconnected it and tried to re-connect it to my my wi-fi without any luck. I did all the trouble shooting steps suggested but it still would no longer link to my wi-fi. I returned it to Amazon and they replaced it with a new one, no problem. I am hoping the second one lasts longer!!

This Etekcity smart plug fits right in with my other smart plugs around the house indoors, using the VeSync app. Used this remote outdoor double plug for walkway trees on the pathway and lights on the deck. Easy to set up and works just like I need.

I got this for the sole purpose of being able to monitor the energy use from my new plugin hybrid (a Chevy Volt) since I split the electric bill and didnt want to see a spike without being able to know what my share was. So I found this and currently plug in my 110 level 1 charger. since the charger and the outlet max out at 15 amps it was a prefect match. the app has worked well, it gives a some what slow real time usage meter and a history of how many kwh are used daily over a span of a week, month or year with a bonus of a cost estimator after you enter in how much a kwh costs. Update: still works good, only adding a small complaint. The app monitors the power for the whole unit and doesnt provide data on which outlet used what amount of power

Im using this in my garage to run a 1/2 hp compressor and outdoor lights. I like that each plug is treated separately.

Our pool timer is on an outlet in our eldest daughters room. She always has crap stacked up and blocking access to that outlet. After getting frustrated having to dig my way to the timer twice a year to enable/disable the cycle for summer/winter, and every time I needed to shut the pump off for maintenance I finally bought this. Now I can enable/disable, start/stop, and even turn it back on for an hour or two right from my phone. The adjustable current overload shutoff is a nice feature, and the killowatt tracking made me realize it was cheaper to run the pump than I thought.

I use this to control my garden fountain. It was easy to setup and easy to use. I really like the app that allows me to set a timer and/or turn it on or off whenever I want. Excellent product.

I had a small problem with the plug as received but an emailed question triggered rapid and thorough response from the company. They quickly resolved the problem to my benefit and satisfaction. The plug syncs up fairly easily and work seamlessly with Alexa. I rate the customer service five stars and only took away one overall because of a warning to keep the plug out of direct rainfall, since it is advertised as waterproof. However it has been in some pretty wet weather without problem so it may be an issue of semantics. I like this plug and appreciate the customer service that backs it up.

Truly weatherproof, I’ve got my fence string lights plugged into it and never have to worry about moisture getting in. The app allows me to place the lights on sunrise/sunset setting, saving my electric bill, as well. I’ve recommended to many friends who are now also raving about it. It’s amazing how the simplest things can make our lives easier and better!
