> 24 hourI purchased this with my primary goal of being able to monitor the power usage of a pool pump, because I was curious what it was actually costing to run, as well as a plan to set a schedule and monitor power usage of outdoor lighting in the holidays. I havent tested it for the latter, but it has been in use for about 2 months with the pool pump. The setup was easy, the app is decent, and I havent had any issues with connectivity. The few times Ive used it to toggle the pump and on and off, it has been very quick to trigger the action and without any problems. I appreciate that this has dual outlets which are separately controllable (Im only using one right now, but when its holiday light time, I will appreciate the option to control circuits on separate timers.) My main purpose for this was to monitor power usage. In the app, it does indeed show real-time power draw in volts and wattage, and there are limited graphs to see usage over time. However, this is the main source of complaint that I have - The ability to look back at data is very limited. For example, you can toggle between a weekly, monthly, and yearly view, but within each of those, you can not scroll backwards in time. So if I want to see a weekly graph for last week, that is not an option. Same goes if I want to compare one month to another - Theres no way to scroll through months. I do appreciate the option to add in a cost per kWH so it can display usage not just in kWH, but in actual monetary limits, but finding this feature was not intuitive. There is an option to turn an outlet off after a certain dollar value of spend has been reached, but what about an option to simply send a notification if parameters are met, without turning off a device? In my case, I can see that the power usage on my pool pump drops drastically over a 1-2 day span if the filter is getting clogged or dirty, and otherwise remains very stable when it is clean, so an option to send an alert if it falls outside a set range but keep it running would be nice. Overall, Im pleased with the product. As this is monitored as an energy monitoring device, I wish there were more features related to the actual energy monitoring, since it seems to be mainly a smart outlet that happens to record minimal usage data. However, its providing enough to suit my purpose so Ive kept it in use.

> 24 hourI bought this smart plug to monitor the power consumption for my plugin hybrid car charger. I was able to compare the results with a non-smart plug power meter and the results are usually within 2 to 3% margin of error. It’s great that it stores the power usage by weekly, monthly, and yearly time periods. You can also see the usage on any given day. I like that you can view the power usage in real-time. It has scheduling capability. This is very helpful. I noticed that the charging unit consumes power when it’s not in use. I’m able to schedule the smart plug to turn off at night to conserve energy. It has other features that I’ve yet to use, but it’s nice to know that they are there. You can control the smart plug from anywhere, provided that your smart phone or tablet has a connection to the internet. It requires that you have a router capable of a 2.4Ghz (Wireless-N) connection. Pairing it to my network was simple. It has a power indicator that lets you know that it’s turned on and connected to your network. It has a physical power button as well. I would recommend it to anyone.

> 24 hourI have lots of outlets that use the VeSync app inside the house, so it was nice to integrate the Christmas decorations as well. Convenient that you can control the two outlets separately, and easy to program inside the app. Alexa worked great. Easy set up and a nice update from the old school dusk/dawn outlet I was using before.

> 24 hourIll start and get my negative out of the way. The phone app displays product ads and this can be a bit annoying. As I usually dont interact too much with the interface, it is tolerable...barely. On to what I like. The product is well made, and the independent control of each plug is fantastic. The unit allows you to input a cost/KW hour for electricity, and then provides a bar graph of power consumed. In my case, I am using the plug to turn on and off several Heatracks outdoor mats. Thanks to the application, I now know that my mats consume 700W of power when they are on, and would cost me about $2/day if I left them on 24x7. Thus I have scheduled on/off times to minimize power use. I wish the application provided environmental sensors - as ideally, I would like to turn them on only for rain/snow. But there is one feature that I didnt know was provided. The plug offers the ability to notify of wildfires in proximity. I live in a heavily wooded area, and the threat of wildfires is a real concern. It is worth the price of the unit for this notification if nothing else!

> 24 hourWe use these in the summer for some outdoor fans and lights. They continue to work fine without issue. Use them with Google assistant no issue. I have Google Wifi and have not had any issues. Did have to reset one last year after being unplugged all winter. This year plugged them in and worked straight out. I think there may be better options since we purchased but have no complaints

> 24 hourThis is my third Etekcity ESO15-TB. I like the 15A power rating for my snow melt mats (woke up to more snow and 7ºf degrees this morning). The app recording voltage, kWh, and watts of the snow melt mats is very helpful to track energy consumption. The scheduling function lets me turn the outdoor lights on at sun down and again in the morning (it is still dark to around 8am) Its more flexible than the old outlet I had that had and electric eye for sundown and # of hours to stay on, but no way to turn it on in the morning (short of entering the brutal winter elements)Unfortunately, my AT&T U-verse modem only supports one WiFi band at a time, so I have to reconfigure the modem to setup the device on the 2.4Hz band and then switch it back to 5.0GHz

> 24 hourI bought this outdoor outlet because the Etekcity indoor outlets and light switches weve had for several years have worked flawlessly. I dont know why Amazon no longer sells the single indoor outlets. We love those things and DO NOT WANT to buy other brands that require different, less capable apps. The VeSync phone app is great, allowing you to control the outlets and switches based on: Day or Days Time of Day Time of Day +/- 30 minutes (random) XX minutes before and after sunrise and sunset. You couldnt ask for more versatility. These schedules are programed into the devices themselves, not your phone, so they run 24/7. And you can monitor (or modify) them from anywhere you have an Internet connection. My only complaints: This outdoor device dangles from a standard height wall outlet by a very short cord. The weight of the device could easily pull it out of an older, worn outlet. It would be nice if it were 6-12 longer. In my case, Ill plug it into a short extension cord. And this complaint is minor: If I turn a device on or off using my phone app, the device responds immediately! However, if it’s turned on or off by another phone or by pressing the device’s on/off switch, it takes 15-25 seconds to display the change on my phone app. This is true for all outlets and light switches I have. I do have to say Ive only noticed this while doing setup or testing. This outlet get 4 stars because of the short cord length.

> 24 hourI bought this plug for my pool pump and it works fantastic! I had one issue only with it and only because my electric was out for a couple of days due to a storm. I just had to reinstall the app to have the timer work again. It has been so nice not to have to remember to turn the pool pump on every day!!!! Love these smart plugs and have got others around the house. I highly recommend this outdoor plug!

> 24 hourIm using this in my garage to run a 1/2 hp compressor and outdoor lights. I like that each plug is treated separately.

> 24 hourGot this plug a couple of months ago. Use it to operate outdoor patio lights and a fountain. I like the convenience of turning our lights and fountain on from the VeSync app on my phone. The plug allows me to turn them on and off separately which I find to be very handy. Meaning I don’t have to have them both on even though they are plugged into the same power source. The only frustration I have experienced so far is needing to update the VeSync app only a few days after installing it. Not sure how often that will be required.
