> 24 hourPurchased this plug to run a space heater. Specifically bought this one since it said it was rated for 16A. Worked fine until today (approximately 3 months after purchase), when it caught fire and melted. Fortunately breaker eventually blew and apparently melted out of the outlet. Now is permanently fused to the space heater, and Ill need to replace the outlet. Thrilled the house didnt burn down, but would not recommend to anyone given the safety hazard. Id certainly question the rated load on it. I suspect its the same 10A that most smart plugs are rated for, and just relabeled/fudged. Again, buyer beware.
