> 3 dayI don’t have an Alexa or Google Home or whatever, but sometimes I want things in my house to be automated. The first set I bought on Amazon were similar to these (but round) and worked with the Smart Life app. I wanted another set for my house and this one was the only set I could find on Amazon that still used the Smart Life app! I didn’t want to have automations on a bunch of different apps, nor do I actually want Alexa. This set synced well and works as expected, but the thing that irritates me about it (and why the rating is 4 stars and not 5), is that the plug thumbnail is upside down in the app and I’m not able to put my own photo in or change the thumbnail at all. It would be much easier if I could easily identify which plug was where by something other than text. Seems like a missed opportunity there.

> 3 dayEasy to setup and use. Do not like that it requires the App to control. Considering alternatives to this issue, and will undoubtedly learn more than I wanted about this device just to enable local control. Will be worth it.

> 3 dayFor some reason this requires your location to be enabled on your device. Why thats necessary I have no idea but I suspect its just so they can sell some information about you. Even with location enabled this was very tricky to get it to work. There are better easier to use plugs out there. Skip this one.

> 3 dayThese work but they aren’t user friendly! In my opinion, in found these confusing to hook up with my Wi-Fi. I am not a computer whiz but I am fairly good with stuff like this. It’s not plug them in and hook them up to the Wi-Fi and they work! Nope, you have to download an app - yet another app on my phone and another password and ID to have to remember! After that is done comes the guessing of trying to find where to go to get them to hook up to the Wi-Fi. Yes, they give you instructions but they don’t match up with what you see on the screen. I wish more manufacturers would take the time to give up to date instructions. For this product it could have been done because it was all done thru the app. Much harder to do for printed instructions. Wish I had spent the extra money and bought Amazon brand plugs. Oh and one more thing, sometimes they don’t work and I have to ask Alexa 2-3 times to turn on the light. I have had to unplug them too to “reset” them.

> 3 dayI spent time downloading the smartlife app and linking it to Alexa. After a day the first plug quit working. After less than 2 days the second plug quit working. This happened with many other lightbulbs and smart plugs. After $73.08 spent. I have no working technology
