> 24 hourInstallation was quick and easy, integration with Alexa app also went smoothly. I was able to give commands such as Alexa, set brightness to 10%, or Alexa, turn off string lights, etc. It was all good and dandy until it suddenly stopped working only after about a month (just outside the return period, ugh). I tried contacting the company, and had not received any response. Buyer beware, I would recommend paying a bit extra and getting a better quality product. Dont make the same mistake as me :(

> 24 hourTIn less than 48 hours, this device caused a complete failure of my expensive lights. The product claims to be rated for 400W and the max output from my lights was 200W. This thing is garbage and customer service was as helpful as a fork served with soup.

> 24 hourI was looking for an outdoor smart dimmer switch capable of controlling two strings of lights independently. This isnt it. The product description includes statements like: The smart dimmer plug has 2 outlets, which can be controls simultaneously, and schedule your lights based on your daily routine. This plus the fact that it has two outlet plugs led me to assume I could control each outlet plug independently (i.e., use it to dim, schedule, and turn on/off two strings of lights independent of each other. After ordering it and setting it up, I quickly learned that his is not the case. It may have two outlet plugs, but they cannot be controlled independently - they turn on/off, dim, etc. in lockstep. If this is what youre looking for, this is a really fine unit. Its well-made and gives every indication of being built to take it (weather, etc.). Setup was a breeze. But again, its not what I was looking for. But if you want a dimmer that does have the ability to control the two circuits independently, they are available at the same price point. After finding out that this Avatar unit didnt do what I wanted, I ordered this unit made by Totebox that fills the bill <https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08RS55GTZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1> I was considering returning the Avatar unit, but because its so well-made I think Ill keep it in reserve for future use as I expand my smart home devices. My three star rating does not reflect on the quality of this unit - just that the description was vague enough that I thought it could do things it isnt designed to do. I wish the description said something like Note that while this unit has two outlet plugs, they cannot be controlled independently. But for what it is, its a wonderful device, worthy of 5 stars.
