> 24 hourFollowing my Dans Soft Ark review, basically the same. Straight razor edge refinement and it does just that well, in my opinion. Once again, came very flat and non broken. Great stone!

> 24 hourGood straws - large enough for thick shakes or smoothies. Brushes are correctly sized for the straws, and the straws are flexible enough that the brushes clear the bend when cleaning. Good product for the price.

> 24 hourI know they have a disclaimer that it can be other colors but I was expecting something white-ish. This is grey when dry and dark grey when oiled and feels/performs like 800grit soft arkansas. The other brands “hard fine Arkansas” this was replacing (case&smiths) was like glass compared to this. Guess I wanted translucent? That scratch pattern is smooth, looks bead blasted rather than scratches but definitely not polished which is what I was expecting.

> 24 hourThis is just one of those purchases that I put off for too many years, while trying alternatives that never worked out just right. For all that time, I have been sharpening my knives on a Smiths soft Arkansas stone permanently mounted to a cedar slab with a cedar cover, then stropping them on an old wide leather belt impregnated with razor stropping compound. I am very satisfied with the quality of this stone, and with the fact that it is NOT permanently affixed to the lower part of the wooden box. It permits me to hone and dress the edges of my knifes without too much grinding of material. Very pleased.
