Lightweight and feels great om my skin.

I have purchased this product many times before and always loved it; however, this is the first time I have purchased it online. The product was like water! I tipped it upside down and half the contents of the bottle ran out, before I had even squeezed it. I contacted the seller to return the item. The return service from the seller is quite remarkable. They shipped me another primer, which I received the following day and I have adequate time to return the original product. One thing I realized...my product was hot as it was left outside on my porch in the Texas heat. The second product was like water again, so I placed it in the refrigerator. The product is now exactly how it should be. So if you have ordered the product and it is watery, recover it by refrigeration for an hour or so. Because it was not an error of the seller, I will not be returning either of the products, I will be purchasing both. Thank you for great service.

Smashbox primer always receives high marks on competitor sites that sell it for much more so I had to try it and with free delivery, the price was right. It sets a nice canvas for makeup by smoothing over pores. I use this with my bare minerals powder makeup and it works great.

Great product. I’ve used the eye primer for years and decided to try this as well. It does not disappoint. Makeup goes on great with this and stays in place.

Many reviewers state this is not the same product you get from a real store. It is the same as far as I can tell. It comes out very liquify at first, but if you shake it to mix it well it comes out more like a gel. Goes on smooth and great under makeup

I like it but not in love with it. Works great and feels so smooth and silky....But for some reason it make my t-zone get extra oily. I’ve tried translucent powders etc but it’s just something the keeps reoccurring. Honestly, I see the same as I would using NYX primer.

Ive used primers by Nars and Laura Mercier in the past, and was pretty happy. They definitely helped my concealer stay put, and Laura Mercier gave me a little glow. But I kept hearing about Smashboxs primer, and as Ive been trying to move more toward cruelty-free products (Smashbox/Estee Lauder is cruelty free as of 2017), decided to give it a try. OMG, I HAD NO IDEA BEFORE WHAT A PRIMER COULD DO. See, in the past, if I happened to forget my primer step, I wouldnt really notice a difference in application/texture, just longevity. Now, if I inadvertently skip my Photo Finish primer, I see IMMEDIATELY that my concealer is wearing differently (I use Tarte Shape Tape applied with a damp beauty blender). It will look dryer, more settled into my fine lines, and overall just more makeup-y. Ill actually clean it off and reapply with my primer! Smashboxs Photo Finish primer makes my skin smooth and baby soft to the touch, and makes my concealer look like my natural skin, just with better complexion.

Since first using a primer I have been unable to go back, and this Smashbox Photo Finish primer is probably my favorite. I tried a sample and fell in love with the silky texture, totally not greasy, which provides a thin veil over the skin to make foundation glide on smoothly. It helps concealer not to crease under eyes during the day, and it makes foundation and blush appear much more even and almost air-brushed compared to not using it. I use a powder foundation applied with a kabuki brush, and it goes on much better with this primer than on bare skin. Some primers tend to feel greasy or take a while to set, but not Smashbox. I highly recommend it!

Didn’t cover that well

Ive been using this primer for a few years, its one of only two primers Ive found that doesnt either cause breakouts, or wad up into little balls of gunk when applying, or make no difference whatsoever....and Ive tried a lot of primers. The other one I like is about twice the price of this, and I would actually pick this as my number one anyway. You can feel the difference in how your makeup goes on when you use this....it really does create a perfect canvas for foundation, (liquid/powder/cream) concealer, eye shadow, pressed powder, bronzer, blush, or anything else you can think of. Its easy to apply, goes on very silky, no obnoxious odor, its colorless, and it does not cause me to break out. You do need to wash it off before bed, but it comes off easily with ordinary soap & water, or your regular cleanser/makeup remover. Highly recommend this primer! A little goes a long way, so even though it seems a little pricey, it lasts for months and its worth the money.
