I initially bought it because my daughter was sucking on her fingers and I wanted to tap that before it became a habit, and this did the trick! Before getting this, his hands were always in his mouth… he would end up gagging himself with his fingers and drool would get all over his little fist, up his sleeve, etc. Now he gnaws away at smiley mia instead :) it’s great, and so easy for him to hold! It always makes me laugh too. Altogether, a funny and useful baby toy esp. for those teething gums.
