SoftRescue Pro Edition

I have been in the computer industry for more than twenty years. This software was nothing but headaches. I used PC Mover instead it worked flawlessly. It may cost a little more but it is worth it. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Dont waste your money buying this program. Its poorly thought out, is NOT user friendly, and not ready for prime time.

This process was pretty painless. I wanted to move my software, files and stuff to my new system but I was hesitant. This product definitely saved me time and frustration. Moved my stuff easily.

As I said to the Anovasoft support team, the SoftRescue Pro edition trashed my new Windows 7 machine to the extent that I could not restore to a previous back up point. I was required to do a factory level reinstall to be able to use the new system at all after I attempted to use the SoftRescue software for the transfer of programs from my old Windows XP machine. I also needed to manually load each piece of software from original disks on to the new machine. I got absolutely no value out of my purchase.

After you buy this software, the detailed information on their web site notes several limitations not disclosed before you purchase. It does not handle 64 bit OS data. Since most new PCs are 64 bit, the software is useless. I will seek a refund.

I purchased SoftRescue from their online download. This is my very first review and I am writing it because I have had no soft rescue but only hard pain in using this software. I am not a novice user, I am an expert user and had hoped that this software would solve my problems. It failed on everything.

The propaganda states that this product can be used successfully by a novice. Im not a technogeek but Im also not a novice. You start right out with nearly no instructions. If you run into problems the help is more sales promotion than help. (and you will run into problems.) The program tells you things you are supposed to be able to do but no detail on how to do them and it doesnt provide dropdowns for the actions you are supposed to be able to perform. The only reason I gave this one star was there is no negative rating opportunity provided. And, no, it never did perform the task purchased for. SAVE YOUR MONEY!
