The headphones failed after 5 months of use. They would not charge. Sony claims that liquid contamination was the cause and refused to honour the warranty. The only condensation was that of my ears and scalp in contact with the headphones. The headphones fit very snugly around the ears and do not breathe. So if Sony is correct, this product is not fit for purpose. In contrast I own three pairs of BOSE headphones over the last 10 years. The ear pads absorb the condensation and need to periodically be replaced. But all of the BOSE product are still serviceable and have never failed to charge. Amazon as seller replaced the headphones but I would be very reluctant to buy another Sony product given their failure to honour their guarantee.

Ich habe die Sony gekauft, weil diese die besten Testergebnissen im Internet hatten. Der Preis sollte nicht höher als 700 Euro sein. Gesucht habe ich Kopfhörer für das Büro. Da ich sehr viel telefoniere (IP, Skype, Teams), habe ich Kopfhörer gesucht, die das könne und gleichzeitig ein gutes NC mitbringen. Leider eignen siech die Sony für mich nur bedingt im Büro.

It is a direct update from sony wh-1000xm3, the only downside is that it is a bit tighter on the top of the head.

In my opinion this is the best pair of cordless headphones I’ve ever used. They won’t cheap, but the sound quality is very good. I’ve only given it for, as you have to play around with the graphic equaliser settings either on the device you’re listening on, or on the headphones app, to get it right. Anyway that having been done things are a pleasure. Great comfort! I can comfortably listen to these for for five or six hours at a time, on the rare occasions I have the time to do so! The noise cancelling even cuts out the wife’s nagging, so what could be better! The battery life is probably around 25 hours, with noise cancelling on.

Excellent headphones. Easy to setup. The noise cancelling is fantastic. It cuts virtually all noise out even when flying. Only downside is touch controls take a bit of getting used to but overall well worth the money.
