I am a person who likes to use matured products, rather than hyped or simply the best available product in current market. While, 1000xm4s are absolutely the best in class products in 2021, they are not in their perfect shape yet. For example, Samsung reached their most mature design in Galaxy s7, and they are experimenting again till now, each version having some sort of problems. Apple reached their most mature design at iPhone 7, and till trying to find their perfect design after that (11 pro getting really close, other than the big tub of a front screen notch). Same thing here. The sound is amazing of these cans for day to day listening. But noise cancellation is not up to the mark yet (despite being best in class), as the technology is not there yet. Also, ears get hot and uncomfortable/hurting after an hour of use, whereas I use my Sennheiser momentums for 7/8 hours. So, one or two iterations and they will reach the mature point to start using them seriously, I guess. A return from me at this point.

Summa summarum gute Geräuschunterdrückung für permanente Geräuschkulisse. Lautes, unregelmäßiges Sprechen aus der Nähe, Durchsagen, etc. dringen leider zu einem Teil durch.

Casi tenía miedo de probar los WH-1000XM4: los XM3 eran casi perfectos, una recomendación inevitable para auriculares Bluetooth con cancelación activa de ruido y a primera vista estos XM4 eran demasiado parecidos, como si Sony se hubiera limitado a sacar prácticamente el mismo modelo otra vez.

Ausgepackt, mit dem Smartphone verbunden, gute, klar strukturierte App, Musik übers Smartphone gehört, gute Tonqualität nach automatischer Einpegelung über die App; soweit alles gut. Die Geräuschunterdrückung wirklich effektiv. Die sehr lauten Geräusche von über unserem Viertel kreisenden Hubschraubern (mal wieder eine Querdenker-Demonstration mit Gegendemonstranten) fast ständig unterdrückt. Es blieb nur ein leises Rauschen. Leider hat dann die Kopplung über Bluetooth mit meinem MAGNAT MMS 730 ebenso wenig geklagt wie mit meinem Sony-Bravia-Fernseher. Im ersteren Falle vermutlich wegen fehlendem APT X-Protokoll auf Seiten des Kopfhörers. Ich werde deshalb das Gerät zurückgeben. Versuche es mit dem Vorgängermodell, das ebenfalls noch bei Amazon zu haben ist, das hat nämlich laut Datenblatt APTX. Vielleicht klappt es ja dann.

I was given these to test out and all I can say is Wow. Over the years Ive gone through many pairs of different headphones and Ive tried out many of my friends headphones and these are hands down the best sounding headphones Ive ever used.
