> 24 hourI use this stand primarily to raise my work laptop to the height of my monitor screens. I have an attached keyboard I use. This stand creates a little extra space on my desktop, and it helps some with overheating of the laptop. It is extremely sturdy and stable, I never worry about the weight of the laptop being too much. I also use this stand for my iPad Pro 12.9 when Im not working. Its a bit heavy, but I still insist on carrying it around the house to watch Netflix or YouTube while Im cleaning or cooking or whatever. The weight is necessary for stability, so this is not at all a con. This stand is definitely stable enough to withstand typing on a laptop while its on the stand. So it would make a great standing desk of sorts if you only need to work on your laptop. It is definitely worth the money, and Im glad I got this.

> 24 hourIm a tech writer, so I spend hours at the laptop, and ergonomics is important. Even with my office chair at its lowest height, Im still looking down at the laptop screen, and halfway through the day my spine starts to complain, a lot. I need to raise the screen higher. Ive bought three kinds of lightweight, very portable laptop stands before, and they are all helpful, but not enough to bring the screen to eye level. THIS stand does that. My spine doesnt hur now. Its large, heavy, and stiff - its not easy to adjust to a new angle. But, once you do, its not gonna move, either, and I consider that a major advantage. You wouldnt take this stand on an overnight trip. But if I were going somewhere for a week, Id make room for it in my bag. And it definitely has a home on my desk now. Worth the money.
