> 3 dayI do not believe the person who wrote that Southwire shipped less than what is advertised. I know Southwire, it is a large well-respected company and there is no way they would short change 20% plus! I can see 1/2, maybe. Look, its real simple: Do the math! A foot of wire weighs about 0.16 oz. so just weigh the wire when you get it and see if it weighs 16 oz plus a little more for the plastic spool, total 1.11 oz as advertised. I am going to buy a spool and do just that. If there is a discrepancy I will post again. If not, then let this comment stand.

19-04-2025Ive had this wire before for wiring up my grapevines, and after volunteering to make face masks for medical workers, and now everyone, I found this was the perfect wire for the masks. The problem with other wires, they were breaking in the washing machine and poking through the fabric. Problems solved! This wire is easily bendable, you can iron over it, wash it, and I havent broken one sewing needle since using it! Im using a #14 needle and if I hit the wire, it just pierces the coating and easily passes through the thin wires inside. The price is also right. You can get many, many masks made with 100 ft of this wire. Give it a try!
