> 3 dayMoved into a rental house with some creative coax. No idea what did and didn’t work. Put the colored plugs in the coax connections and within 5 minutes checked all 9 connections. 4 active, 3 inactive and 2 that we’re active but not really good. Just what I needed to know.

Greater than one weekUsed it once, worked fine. A few weeks later, wanted to use it again, batteries are dead. Bought new batteries, worked fine again, a few weeks after, batteries are dead again. At this pace the cost of batteries are higher than the tool itself.

> 3 daywhy not use a AAA or AA battery instead of 4 dot batteries...? Youll need your own barrel connector for the cable at each room location. It does do the job for what I needed it for telling me which cable went to what room. But I would not buy this device again nor would I recommend it

> 3 dayI work for a cable company and I use these to locate cable outlets. Pretty straight forward and handy tool to have if youre working in the cable field. You can tone four outlets at once which can save you time on a job. They do not tone through splitters though which is only downfall for this product. Other than that they work really well and just keep up with the color ends.
