> 3 dayThis kit is great for beginners or those who have been dabbling in stamping! The roller is a bit soft for what I needed but great quality nonetheless!

Greater than one weekI did some block printing as a teen and decided a while ago to get a simple all-in-one kit to take up printing again. Speedballs been around since I was a kid and I love that this kit includes everything to get started - especially a bench hook, which I consider a must-have for safety. Pros: Most of the equipment in this kit was great for beginner, or re-beginner. Having two different types of lino to cut was fantastic and I really loved working with the Speedy Carve. If youre just starting out, its nice to see the different kinds of lino available to cut on and see which works better for you. Again, the bench hook was the best addition and I highly recommend anyone getting started on block printing to either buy or make one. The kit suggests you can also use the bench hook as an inking plate, which worked okay for me- not great, but that might be an issue with the included printing ink. Cons: My biggest problems were with the included blades. They were of disappointingly poor quality - uneven in places, with obvious nicks and gouges in the edges. Still usable, though. The other big con were the inks included - one was in a defective tube and, by the time I actually used it, had thickened to an unusable degree, and leaked out the back end of the tube and all over my hands. Makes me wish I hadnt waited so long to start using the kit, or else I would have returned it. I also wasnt crazy about thick and sticky consistency of the ink itself. In total - great kit for beginners, but check the tools and inks before using for defects.

> 3 dayNot a bad starter set, I didnt have my original expectations to high to begin with, so that helped. the lino cut tools are kind of low quality, Ill see how they do after sharpening. Good set to learn techniques and practice before you get to the professional stuff.

> 3 dayVery easy to use, and water soluble inks are a big plus. Easy to clean up, just be sure to lay something down to protect your surface!
