SpeTool CNC Router Bits Carving 8 Pcs Set for Wood Detail Profile V Groove Engraving Solid Carbide 1/4 Inch Shank

Im new to the CNC game and one of the hardest parts of CNC is learning about bit selection, feeds and speeds. This bit set is inexpensive compared to most and best of all SpeTools now has a tool library that is compatible with Vectric software. One of my bits (1/4 spiral downcut) has discolored on the shank and about 3/16 of an inch of it broke off the non cutting end. I have zero idea how that happened. The cutting portion of the bit is fine and cuts well but something is up with the protective coating on the shank, at least on this one particular bit. As long as the bit cuts as it is supposed to, this is still a 5 star review.

working great and lasting on CNC router. Cheap tools wear out and/or break. These tools have quite a few hours on them and appear to have quite a few left in them

I bought my first cnc and needed bits so I figured these would be a great middle of the road starter bit set. Well I still have this set and use them all the time. I liked the bits so much I have ordered a lot more of spetool bits and they are great. I love that they have a tool data base on the website and I can just import it into vcarve pro. If your new to cnc or just want some great bits order these you wont be disappointed.

Really nice set with all the bits you need to get started and play with different cnc routing bits. Sharp, durable, strong. Cant go wrong for the price. Even cut some aluminum if youre in a pinch (as I was, but they do dull after a bit).

The quality of these bits are great. I wasn’t expecting much because the price was low considering what they sell for individually. I have used the crap out of the 1/8” end mill, no signs of dulling or tear out yet, and we’ve been using hardwoods. Some very hard, Purple Heart, maple, oak, bubinga, wenge. Definitely worth the money.

Although a bit concerned about quality buying online, Ive found that these bits, if nor overworked, complete the jobs on my CNC just fine.
