> 3 dayIve been wet shaving all my life but just recently started shaving with a double edge safety razor. St.James Of London is a fantastic shaving cream. I use multiple shaving creams and this is my favorite by far. During the shave it leaves your face slick and does not dry up so you get a very smooth shave. The scent is very refreshing, The cender wood is very unique but not over powering. This is a luxury product but at a low price. Get it and you wont be disappointed!!!

> 3 dayThis gives the best shaving experience I ever had. I had always used tallow-based soaps, avoiding creams, but tried this one on recommendation from my son. The lather is rich, smooth and creamy. Slickness is superior and allows a couple of swipes before re-lathering for another pass. It is very water tolerant and doesnt get thin and foamy if you over water. I get a great close shave every time that lasts through the day. It appears pricey, but you need so very little to create mounds of rich, creamy lather so it becomes very cost effective. I am using the Cedarwood and Clary Sage. Fragrance is very nice and lasts a few hours. I tried Barrister & Mann, Mikes, Cold River, Cella (my first. so still a nostalgic and fond favorite), all the Poraso, Taylor of Old Bond Street. This, without question, is the best of them all. My other gear: Merkur 34C, Voskhod blades from ebay (less than $10 per 100 so I replace on a 5 day use cycle), Semogue boar brushes: 1470, 820, 1250.

Greater than one weekIll admit Ive bought many Sandalwood-scented products simply because it has the word wood in it, expecting to get a very earthy, woodsy scent. While Sandalwood is a pleasant scent, its never lived up to the wood-smelling expectations in my head. Cedarwood, however, does; its the wood scent Ive been after. This cream combines the scents of cedarwood and sage, and boy does it smell fantastic. The performance is even better. A little dab of cream lathers up like youve had a cream pie thrown in your face. I didnt think Id try a cream that performed better than Taylor of Old Bond Streets shaving creams (which are excellent), but I have with this. I tried this cream as part of a multi-scented inexpensive sample pack off of St James of Londons site (I dont think they sell it through Amazon) and Im seriously considering buying the shaving cream in the full size here.

> 3 dayvery slick, lots more soap in the jar than you would expect, smells sweet and slightly spicy, a little perfumey, high class. stayed moist, didnt give razor burn, skin is still soft, my other soaps didnt do that. i didnt use the gel or aftershave, yet the scent has remained, lightly spicy all night. i shaved using a thirtys model Gillette open combed razor with dorco blade. open combs keep some of the shaving cream on your face making second passes more smooth. this shaving soap was worth the money.
