> 24 hourI bought the variety pack, hoping to use one of them to clean out a gap between two sheet metal panels on an old car to get ready for welding. The bristles are weak and folded over very quickly so as to be useless for that. I went back to one of my other wire rotary brushes which can stand up to use on sheet metal. These dont.

> 24 hourThese are great bore brushes! While I’m doing some over hauling on a Jeep XJ, I decided to clean the carbon build up on the intake side of the head an also clean rusty dirty female threads on the head. Coupled with a flexible drill extension on Amazon made the job pretty simple.

> 24 hourI could not tell from the photo(s) in the ad, but these brushes turned out to be very durable! I had 200,000-mile rust in the four holes to recive trailer hitch securing bolts. My heaviest tool was a right-sized tap, which I operated alternately with fingers, vise-grip, and 3/8 variable speed drill. Between efforts with the tap I ran in PB Blaster, let it sit, then bore-brushed each hole. The durability and length of these brushes were essential in the cleaning process between borings with the tap. Probably a total time of 4 hours -- lots of false starts in the first 2-1/2 hours; only an hour-and-a-half, once I had these brushes on the job! Now they are cleaned and packed away for whatever the next rehab project will be:)
