I purchased another version of this product that cost 3x as much. Thinking that this would be adequate for much less money, I bought it. This is 10x less quality for 1/3 the price. For rodent mitigation its worth it to purchase a higher quality product.

It rusts...just like the other reviews stated.

USE A SCREWDRIVER to tuck it deep into the hole and block all access.

They charge you more for stainless steel and then it rusts. Stainless steel doesnt rust. By the time you get rust marks dripping down your new house paint, the return window is just slightly passed. Typical Amazon.

This is just regular steel wool, not stainless steel. I bought it to fill gaps on a camper for winterizing to keep mice out and didnt want rust stains on anything. Ordered this because they claim its stainless steel but upon opening the package it appeared to be regular steel wool so I got a paper towel wet and set a piece of this stainless steel wool on it for a little bit, rust stain started appearing on the paper towel within hours.

Within a single night, I noticed that a magnet had a strong attraction to the steel wool, and the next morning, it was covered in rust. This completely defeats the purpose of using stainless steel, as rust can compromise its durability and effectiveness. The product is advertised as being made of high-quality metal fiber, similar to wool, which is supposed to be soft, thick, and flexible. While it does have those qualities, its disheartening to see how quickly it rusts. Additionally, it claims that small animals cant chew through the steel fibers, but what good is that if the steel wool itself is prone to rusting and deterioration? Furthermore, the listing mentions that the steel wool can be easily cut to the desired size with ordinary scissors, which is true. However, it fails to mention the importance of wearing gloves when handling it. The steel fibers can cause injury if not handled with care, and this vital information should have been included in the description. Overall, I find this product to be misleading and not up to the standards I expected. It is not stainless steel as advertised, and the rusting issue makes it unsuitable for long-term use. I would caution potential buyers to consider alternative options that truly deliver on their promises. I hope the seller takes note of these shortcomings and rectifies them in the future.
