> 3 dayFarming life can be hard on equipment, but I have had older Stanley fatmax tapes for years. One survived building and framing my whole house, barn projects and on and on. But one of new tapes did it make it through a week of use before the return spring started failing and having to be pushed back in by hand. The other ones holding up okay but I don’t have much faith in it lasting like those old ones have.

Greater than one weekDidnt get a month out of a the tape measure and it broke. The tape didnt break it was the plastic tab that held the tape. As you can see in the picture it was hardly used.

> 3 dayI cut myself on an old tape measure twice in one day. The metal in these things is very sharp when it cracks and I threw the old thing away. It was NOT one of these. These are sturdy, fit my hand well and are easy to read. They do have metric, but it is below the inch/foot scale, so you read it first, unlike the other new one I bought on sale. Very nice tape measures.

> 3 dayIm a serious DIYer. Have my own saw mill to cut my own lumber serious. I cant seem to find a decent tape measure these days - one that has all the features I want yet is dependable. I really like the Stanly tapes, they seem to be the best all around tapes out there for the money. The two pack was a good deal and they seem like good tape measures. Only time will tell but theyve already far outperformed the last one I bought at BLowes - cobalt blue was the color of that tape. Messed up in less than 15 minutes of easy use, useless after 30 minutes.

Greater than one weekThe tape measure is built great but both of these dont spring back like they should. I have had a bunch of these before and they work great but these dont. Going to call Stanley and see whats different or maybe these are bad. They look a little different than the ones in the store but maybe these are old model or something. We will see.
