Mounted this under my desk to put a 24 port switch, UPS, and some cable management in. Its great for a mini home network rack!

I am an IT generalist for a small company, and there are many, many instances where I need a rack for a single server. Startech makes 2, 3 and 4 U racks like this one, and they are all great. I use them all the time, and have never felt the need to try to find another vendor. Theyre cheap, theyre sturdy, and they serve a very distinct need.

This item comes with all the hardware expected to mount on the walls.

I was looking for a low profile setup for my apartment and did not want a full rack. This works perfect for what I needed.

Does what its supposed to do. Im using mine to mount a power supply and switch next to my main electrical panel. All of the wiring in my home already terminated in this location, and mounting my networking equipment against the wall keeps me compliant with electrical code. If I had mounted these items on a shelf, they would have extended into the working space around the electrical panel.

I wanted a way to use a couple of 1U network pieces, a patch panel and a network switch to mount somehow. This worked perfectly. I bought the 3U but only used 2U and mounted under a small shelf in the garage. This cleaned everything up beyond my expectations as shown in the picture!

I managed to mount this on the wall with 6 pieces of command adhesive, (about 6 inches from the floor, just in case it falls) and with 2 switches, it is staying on the wall well. It worked extremely well.

The vertical designer takes up less space then most U shaped 1U bracket that stick out fropm the wall at least 6. This model like my other StatTech products are perfect.
