Superlight and wheels are very quiet and roll easy. Never had a split case with a zipper in the middle but it works pretty well. Only thing to keep in mind is you may need more space when you are in the hotel as with clothes in both halves it takes up a bit more space open vs luggage thats not split in half.

Great size, my son lives in Arizona and needed a bag to travel back and forth to California. Durable, good size and just the right size for weekend travel.

I waited to long to use this bag and can longer return it. Bag is to top heavy and falls over all the time. Handle is not long enough. Very disappointed. But now I just have to suck it up and use it because it was so expensive.

Good suitcase. Max carry-on size, high quality wheels, handle is long enough for a 6 guy, internal organization is good (but nothing special), and the exterior looks good without being showy.

Cons: Better watch out if it rains or walk over a puddle. All your belongings would be wet. Zipper is poor quality. It tips if you have your laptop in the front pocket Or overfill it. You have to constantly hold it. Pros: light weight. Fits the overhead on an airplane.

Not sold on a suitcase that doesnt fit on any suitcase rack. The clothes are evenly distributed between the top and bottom of the case. Like a book, it must be open at all times to access either side. When its open it doesnt fit on the rack. If its on the rack closed, then when you open it the rack tips over due to weight distribution problems. Can only be kept open on the floor. I dont like my travel clothes anywhere near the floor.

A beautiful bag, and very functional. We love all the pockets and that it does expand. The other bag we have, we thought was just like this doesnt expand and we still loved it. We love this one way more!

I bought two bags to compare and this one was the bigger of the two so I decided to keep it and return the smaller one. I just got back from a three week trip overseas and I loved this bag! I traveled around a lot, not staying more than 2 days in any one location, so I packed and unpacked many times. I stuffed this thing, using packing cubes (not compression ones either) and there still seemed to be more room. The best thing I found, was that the zipper zips in the middle, halfway between the lid and the bottom when its completely full, so I can use the packed lid side to compress on top of the already packed bottom when I need to smoosh it to get the zipper to close. This made closing the bag so much easier. I hope that makes sense. Sometimes the lid is just a covering over the bottom and you only pack in the bottom, but this bag has lots of packing room on both the lid side *and* the bottom side. I didnt try to carry it on the airplane tho. I checked it and it came thru just fine. The wheels were much better than I expected. I never used the cup holder because I always had another little bag on top of this suitcase, so the cup holder is not a huge value add.

My previous Dakine bag lasted 20 years. So I ordered another one. This one is very well made and I look forward to 20 years with this travel bag too.
