Stonemaier Games Viticulture Essential Edition Board Game, for 156 months to 9600 months

My family hates long, drawn out games like Monopoly. Despite the first few games taking 2-3 hours to complete with 3 players, everyone was engaged with the game and wanted to play more. The game times are getting quicker as we improve in our knowledge of the game. This game definitely replaces a lot of older bored games!

Such a great game! Works well even with just 2 players. Different every time.

A fun game that challenges you from the start!

My husband and I are obsessed with this game. It does take a long time to learn so Id recommend getting someone who knows how to teach you or watching a video or SOMETHING. I cant imagine just reading the instructions and figuring it out. A bottle of wine while you play is a must.

This is a great worker placement game with a fun theme revolving around managing and operating a vineyard. This is one of the few games where I would say the expansion (Tuscany) is a must-have. Increasing the game from 2 to 4 season really rounds out the game and gives you more meaningful choices with your workers as you can run out by the time you get to winter.

I LOVE THIS GAME! I mean really love it, so much so that I may push it on my friends who think theyre coming over for game night means were playing Monikers or CAH and then I bust this out. Theyve got no idea theyre in for a super strategy worker placement game - heck most of them dont even know what worker placement means! People who havent really played in-depth games I find are way over their heads on this one. At least at first. Its amazing, I love it, but it Takes some commitment to learn it and then teach it. However, the payoff is huge! So fun!

Simply put....one of the best Euro-Style, Worker Placement games to come along in years. And it has a great theme.

Viticulture is an excellent mid-weight euro game that sits firmly in the Worker Placement genre. I picked this up to play 2 player games with my wife and am happy to say that we are both very pleased with the game after 4 plays and will be playing it a lot more incorporating the Tuscany essential edition expansion.

This has quickly become one of our favorite games! Viticulture is a strategy board game where you have a winery and earn points by making wine, filling orders and other various ways.

Just played this for the first time and found it relatively easy to learn and begin playing. There are several different strategies to take so you dont just have to grow grapes and make wine to have a shot at winning. The player order will change each round as you decide which of the 7 spots to take and the corresponding bonus action. Do you guarantee getting first chance to put your worker where you want to or get extra bonuses and let the other players move first? Do you try to plant many varieties of grapes and try to sell lots of wine or focus on getting visitors that will get you victory points?
