> 24 hourThe ball bearing rollers are impressive. I used a total of 3 for a clothesline-like design to support 2 heavy bird feeders suspended over our back yard (squirrels, you know...). They work well now, and I expect will weather well, but not enough time yet to confirm. I bought 4 more for a second setup to a different tree.

> 24 hourOver the years we always purchased cheaper (non-ball bearing type) cloths line pulleys and without fail they would eventually wear down at the axle point and begin to seize up. Also, not to mention the very loud screeching that would emanate from the pulleys every time you put out and or pulled in clothes. This time we decided to spend a little extra and go with these pulleys. These things glide so smoothly, making it a pleasure to dry your cloths on the line. One suggestion though, since they do move extremely well, sometimes the cloths will wind up coasting down on their own as more weight is added to the line, so we just use a cloths pin and put it right at the pulley to hold things in place.

> 24 hourThe old metal pulley was grinding on its side brackets which was really annoying and didnt move too easy, so it was time for a replacement. The Strata Ball Bearing Style Clothesline Pulley was an easy swap and provided a much smoother and quieter operation while running out the clothes on the line. It appears well built and I dont doubt it will last well. When I used the old pulley I would clip a wooden clothes line pin onto the rope near the pulley which would prevent the clothes on a windy day from traveling back to the pulley which sometimes would put them in the shade. I tried this with the new pulley, but the open frame design caused the clothes pin to ride over the pulley and throw the rope off the pulley. BUT alas.... the new pulley appeared to have a feature(?) that would seem to allow locking the pulley in place. Not sure if this was the intention of the design or not, but nothing I found seemed to document this feature. The pulley has a set of holes, one in the pulley and two in the pulley frame. When aligned, a pin can be inserted to lock the pulley in place and preventing the line from blowing the clothes back to the pulley. The extra bracket arm that has the small hole was an ideal spot to tie off and hang the lock pin. Again dont know if this was the intent of the hole and the extra bracket arm part, but worked well.

> 24 hourThese pulleys are terrific! That clothes line moves as smooth as silk feels! You will need two people to attach them and run the line properly. Make sure the little tightening gadget to pull the line through is placed on the bottom part of the clothesline. Line will need to be adjusted a few times before the correct tauntness is established. Another creative invention that is truly beneficial for those of us who enjoy hanging our laundry out to dry!
