First time it saw rain. And also the last time. The umbrella just didnt survive a rainy day in San Diego. Of course, the 30day return window was closed by just two days. At first, Amazon didnt want to do anything, but then got my money refunded. Its a nice and big umbrella. Just didnt stand up to the rain.

Poor quality and white umbrella was delivered with oil on top. Never order again

Cheap piece of crap. You would think $14 would get you something that would last at least a little while but apparently not. Opened it very carefully one time and one of the spokes snapped off. DO NOT BUY!

I ordered this to my hotel room during an on location wedding shoot and it arrived quickly. Upon opening it, I noticed that the carbon fiber shaft was poorly finished around the latch and the shaft itself is a bit rough with two random holes seemingly either drilled into it or perhaps the carbon fiber mould didnt form correctly. Im no engineer. I didnt experience actual splinters as one other reviewer did, though. The second time I opened it one of the plastic shaft sub-supports broke. Almost every piece of the interior of this umbrella is plastic, even critical points such as the shaft supports, sub-supports as well as the thumb release, so do be advised that a gentle touch is required. The handle is quite nice I will admit, but even for a cheap umbrella its disappointingly so. Shame its so difficult to find high quality white umbrellas. why is that?! Id say if youre going to use this thing once or as a backup/compliment to your kit, it may be a solid investment at this price, but if youre looking for a reuse-able quality piece that will last through an entire season where it may be subject to dropping, wind or repeated openings/closings, this isnt it.
