Stryker SR-955HPC 10 Meter Amateur Radio

Stryker 955 is an excellent radio for SSB or AM, and it shines on SSB. You dont need a power mic for this radio stock mic works just fine! I get tons of positive reports of how clean and crisp this radio sounds over the air. Solid buy.

I will be updating this as time goes by. This radio is awesome. Got it home and immediately did the frequency unlock. It was a very tiny tiny square modern resister. My mother in law used to solder for medical equipment. She unsoldered the resister in minutes. I had her look over the board and imspect all the joints. She said they were fairly clean and she found no cracks no cold joints. Being so modern PCB construction I would assume it will last as diesel mobile. The software is fairly easy to operate. Works on windows 10 64bit. Has very nice features like swr cut off and low and high power safteys. One disappointments was the roger beep. I was hoping to beable to use .wav files to.have a custom roger beep. Its kind of time consuming to created something original because its drop down menus to select the sound freq hz and time. They could have made it an input form. If they update the app it would be very easy to implement. I wont dock a star for the roger.beep however. This rig works on upper ssb really good, I was getting over 100 watts out on the built in meter. On Am I was very surprised, this radio is very quite. RF gain almost all the way up ( knob all the way to the right) with squaltch turned off no static with NB on a 1.5 swr. I could here contacts from 15 miles away so far. Contacts so far say I sound Krystal clear and are amazed at the differences between my this and my comnex 3300zx. Thanks stryker for the great radio so far. I hope.you update the app Id love to see a easier to use roger beep customize menu Add a copy and paste script input so users can share each others. This is the best 10 meter/(cb after conversion) I have ever owned. Very customizable and the loudest clearest audio of anyone in my area. May buy 1 or 2 more before they may decide to discontinue.

This 10 meter radio is awesome it took about 10 minutes to convert it over to a CB and it works flipping awesome Im very happy.

Out of the box this unit was silent even with squelch off and volume up. Removed bottom cover. Speaker wire was torn off at the solder joint. Soldered it back and radio checked out so far. Looks like they wired the speaker so tight it broke during some last minute check or this was a return for a no audio issue. Everything looks new. Box was delivered in manufactures box only but the box was pristine. Will update after use.

Great 10 meter radio. Very sensitive receiver. Should take to a reliable tech for a tune and alignment.

Works well as advertised, and can be converted to operate on CB channels if youre handy with a soldering iron. Ill probably never use the roger beeps or echo features, but it has clear audio and solid modulation without needing to be peaked/tuned. It puts out enough power that you dont need an external amplifier.

I love this radio is super easy to convert to 11 meters the only thing that I notice unusual; is the turning on display it takes about 3 sec for display to light up . Other than that is a nice and very powerful radio . It is one of my favorites.
